Greg Garmon Arrested

Yeah, but this isn't anything that is going to make KF do anything more than snort and be annoyed.

Upon hearing the news, KF bore down on his gum and bent over to scribble a note in that stupid little pad he keeps in his pocket.

No it is not. Yet a terrible decision and puts one strike against him from day 1. Not exactly a good start...you know being arrested and all. We can minimize it all we want but another mistake anytime soon and it wont go well. The off the field issues are not being tolerated right now at iowa. More focus than ever imo.
I don't consider it a "terrible" decision. I consider it a typical 18 year old decision. This will likely be forgotten just about the time it is adjudicated. Look for the young man to receive a brief reprimand from the judge, and nothing more. And life will march merrily on, no one worse for wear. As it should.

If he stays I the clear from here on out, agreed. Hope you are right man!

LOL, well put boss

The only crime here is that marijuana is still illegal. I guarantee you 75% of the current team does it too. Who freaking cares?

$50 civil ticket in Evanston. The cops spent too much time in court and the disadvantaged persons were getting angry that so many kids had an arrest that kept them from getting jobs. The cops raided some dude with a lot, so they are still going after dealers, but the kid with less than ten grams ain't getting arrested. That's prolly the way it ought to be everywhere if it ain't legal.

I'd kick the dumb *** off the team, have these kids not learned anything from A Rob and DJK? What we don't need is another idiot who can't play by the rules and decides smoking weed is more important than the team.

Thank you O AIRBHG for showing us the error of our ways. We hath wandered from Thee, and not feared you in our hearts and minds. We hath used Thy name in vain. Our wicked black and gold souls hath made light of You, and in our folly laid plans as to what our running back situation might look like for more than one game in advance.
Forgive us, so that we might not be a one-dimensional short pass offense with swiss cheese for a run defense. We are truly sorry, and we humbly repent for our sins against You.
AIRBHG, have mercy.

Re: You...Have...Got..To..be..Kidding...Me

Me either, and statistically yes it is. Never killed anyone.

never killed anyone? do you know any headless guys down in mexico?

also, smoking pot while driving - you don't think that has ever caused a fatal accident?

yeah, the only reason he got busted is because it is 'illegal' but can't you say that about just about anything? and who cares if 75% of the team is doing it. that's about as short sited as it gets.

We got legalization on the ballot out here, and the AG race was decided on the issue of who liked pot more.

I understand your point immensely. It may have caused a fatal accident, but I think it would come up in the tox screen, could be wrong. I think if they legalized it as I alluded to earlier, than the killings would cease because people could go buy it at the store and not have to worry about lacing. Is it wrong from a legal standpoint? Yes, thus making it wrong. But outside legalities, and from a justice standpoint for the human race, I think it would be better legal. Everyone wants the forbidden fruit, legalize it and it will be a hot ticket item for a few years and just drop off. Less drug issues with that, tax it and it can go to good use, and time will tell if it causes more fatal injuries through tox screens. But, no one has ever Overdosed on weed, it is impossible. Alcohol is far worse. Alcohol was just the European thing, and when they came to America, the' "backwards" Native American's thing was most likely shunned and frowned upon because it was their thing. Thus, from the beginning stigmatizing it and making those who enjoy it a social pariah. - a stretch, but my hypothesis.

HYPERBOLE MASTER in the house.

Re: You...Have...Got..To..be..Kidding...Me

Agreed. Never tried it; but I believe it is probably less harmful than alcohol.

Your chronic back pain would disappear with some judicious use of The Chronic.

Maybe its not the worse thing ever sit out one game maybe two. Learn a lesson and be productive for four years. If not Fleming to RB.

this is not a huge deal. i wouldnt be surprised if a dozen kids on the team have something like this on their records. its a misdy and he will like get a deferred judgement. its also not a strike against him in the program as he hasnt attended a class or single practice.

there is nothing to see here.

The AIRBHG's version of The Lord's Prayer...you better copyright that thing NOW!

Well played, Mauer...:D

it is really not that big of deal. He will get the obstruction charged dropped and plead to some minor infraction and problaby face some minor punishment by Kirk. It is not like he got convicted of a felony for robbing someone with a BB gun.
