Future Of The Program

You aren't? And yes I get my kicks off of posters like you.

Nope. Not at all. I will never be the smartest guy in the room and I never try to be. I am just an Iowa fan with dumb opinions. If you are getting your jollies off of me....should I suggest porn or getting a hobby .

I loved Pemsl last year. What the heck happened. If I were coach he wouldn't see the court. Neither would Moss. A 50/50 loose ball for Moss is when the opponent is 10 feet away and he is 3 feet away.

Pemsl has been scouted at this point and everybody knows he has no jump shot and makes a living on pump games so just stay down and make him shoot over ya.

They can finish this year strong, and make a big run in the big 10 tournament. The momentum will continue into next year, and they can be a major contender for the regular season big 10 championship.
What the hell have you seen that makes you think this? If we were 1-7 with losses by single digits your comment would be sane but we needed overtime to beat one of the worst team in the league and lost 7 games by a combined 92 points! I've seen nothing that indicates we'll do anything other than win maybe one more conference game and lose the first B1G Tournament game as usual.

Agreed. The Kevin Mchale up and under move was effective last year. Back to the basket moves were okay as well. This year everytime the double team comes he is a turnover machine. Also, he has been really clumsy this year, coordination issues.

I'm sorry, but I can't take you seriously. On one hand you say the roster is already void of athleticism and then say the next coach would have it easy.
He will have it easy building it up. Pretty sure the next coach will bring in actual talent

At this point, Fran has been recruiting bigs and mids for 3 or 4 years now. We all saw it coming, who is gonna run the show? Then we heard him say we had a lot of "combo guards" who could play the point. Now I don't know if he was setting this up for his kid to play or he just couldn't recruit a decent point guard. Did he chase Williams or did Williams just see the future and decided to save a year. Either way, this is all Fran's doing. And he did it to himself. I thought Fran had connections in Philly., We have gotten no players from the Philly area. At this point, Iowa could just start over with an up and coming coach. If that coach brings a couple of his recruits and keeps what he likes at Iowa does anyone think they would be worse than the debacle we have now?

Lets face it. We are never going to be elite team. Agree on up and coming new coach. Just saw that Duke has commitments from #1, #2, #3, #10 players in the country. Oh yeah, landed 4 of the top 10 players last year. If we play like mid-major team, might as well pay coach mid-major salary.

Lol Duke is in a whole different dimension bro. By the way this recruiting class is setting history. Not even Calipari and the Kentucky boosters have been able to pull in a class like this. If Duke is your measuring stick then there are only 4 D1 programs and everyone else is mid major.

I'd be sick if we lost Garza. The only player with a passion for the game.

No need to worry about that. Garza and JBo aren't going anywhere. Cook isn't going anywhere unless he actually can make the NBA. Baer isn't going anywhere. They might not like each other, but they aren't likely to get more playing time anywhere so what would be the point?
