I sit in front of idiots that scream we should go for it on every fourth down, no matter the situation, time in the game or score. Others yell out things that show they have no grasp at the very basic rules of football, yet they all somehow know more than our coaches.

My wife has elbowed me in the side more than once to keep me from telling them how F'ing stupid they are. Good times!

Also unrelated to the players. The board of trustees weren't consulted by new president regarding the settlement reached with NCAA and they are not happy.

Is this the same BOT that basically rubberstamped everything for 14 years, that had their head in the sand for 14 years? Since they basically shirked their fiduciary responsibility for 14 years and wanted no part in making tough decisions, I'd say they don't need to be involved in decision making now.

I think the problem is that as board of trustees they are supposed to approve all contracts/agreements that the university signs.

One of the main criticisms of Spanier was that he wasn't reporting information to the board. It appears that problem still hasn't been fixed.

Guess we all are learning a bit more about Tim Beckman. Whether it is within the NCAA rules or not, he's crossed the line IMHO. I could more easily believe some of these recent PSU recruiting stories if they involved programs outside the BIG but cannibalizing one of your own to the degree Beckman has chosen is tasteless.

This is an unchartered area for recruiting. Do we have any scholarships to offer the PSU recruits or are we expecting them to walk on here? Everyone is talking about getting some Dlinemen and a RB, but we need to have the open spot here to plug them in. I would love to see it happen, but how many spots do we have open we can plug a guy in? How much money do I have in my pocket before I go shopping?

Uh...we basically have 3 to 4 spots on the DL that would be in play...
