Maryland is a big UnderArmour school. Could they have a role in all this?
Heard there's a student body protest in the works but haven't heard about the players yet. I would have a tough time thinking practice as usual is just going to happen today. I mean really wtf... If those players have a spine at all they hold the power here ultimately.
Will we see a max exodus of players transferring out?
I fail to understand whats going on. I get that this coach recruited most all of them there but he's also ultimately who is at fault here. The buck stops with him not the strength coach who he didn't want to fire but did... So far he's the only scapegoat right? You'd think so, but I don't know...
Remember, the kid collapsed at the end of May. Died mid-June. If things really were so terrible, wouldn't that have been the "last straw" for players, and they'd leave over the summer? Durkin wasn't put on leave until mid-August, so there was no indication until then (publicly, at least) that he would be gone.
Guarantee you they saw Urbie Meyer’s situation and they thought everything would be cool. How out of touch do you have to be to not have expected the outcry? Reinstating him and then firing him hours later just shows that they somehow thought this was all gonna blow over.
Yep, and now that they reinstated him first, they'll have to pay him his buyout. Right?Guarantee you they saw Urbie Meyer’s situation and they thought everything would be cool.
Aaaaaaaaaannnnnnnddddddddd............................He is gone now.Makes them look utterly stupid and weak for this.
I saw on twitter they fired him without cause and have to buy him out for the full remainder of his contract.Yep, and now that they reinstated him first, they'll have to pay him his buyout. Right?
