Yea, you have to wonder what Maryland thought was going to happen or if they thought it would just go away with time. No, not something like this. Players walking out, students picketing. Voices were heard and finally the sensible solution to a horrible situation got done.

Did Maryland actually think they were going to survive this with the same staff? My gawd.

From what i've heard, the investigatory committee basically said there was no cause to fire him. if they fire him without cause he gets his salary/millions. now he'll get his salary/millions plus damages/millions.

unlike real life common people who can be fired without cause, government employees are another matter.

So just some thoughts and confusion from someone who's a casual observer and has not read any of the report.

1.) Regardless of whether he should/shouldn't have had a job, why the hell did they even bother placing him on leave and doing an internal investigation if they're going to bring him back and then terminate the next day. Complete waste of an "investigation" and makes the school look even worse.

2.) Their solution is Firing the coach, but retaining the same training staff who may have been able to save his life had they not misdiagnosed things initially. I hope I'm misunderstanding something here, because if this is truly the case than my mind is absolutely blown.

3. A backup punter has become the internal spokesman for the state of Maryland football...Say no more.

I think things have spiraled even further out of control in the past week than it did during the summer. They better do something quickly, because I can't see how this can possibly get any worse, but I have this feeling its going to.

Can you think of a better marriage then him and Kiffin? At Ole Miss of all places. There won't be any rules or laws broken amongst them would there? What's the over under on how long that tenure lasts?
