Charlie Moore scores 38

I think for MG it was a developmental issue, but I'm not sure who's to blame, in a way I think he was sort of a mental midget.

The guy literally did not develop a left hand for four years. He never figured out how to use the rim to protect from shot blockers. Those are things that many high school players can do.

I agree. His shot got worse and he was horrible in crunch time. It was all mental. The few games where he had confidence he was really good.

It's not a small sample size when he's offered probably 30 PG's and has best thing to show is Mike who was honorable mention all conference as a senior

As far as him being worse at recruiting point guards tham other positions goes, it's a small sample size. Because like I said, how 3 players turned out is the reason for that ridiculous assumption. If Gesell would have turned out like he could have and White and Marble wouldn't have turned out so much better than they should have, everyone would be saying point guard is the only position Fran can recruit. 3 players =small sample size .

3 players? Fran has offered probably 30 PG recruits. It's who he's missed on that hurts more than anything

You don't follow my post or are you ignoring it. Do you agree that if Marble and White turned out to be average players and Gesell turned out to be a good player, then no one would talk about Fran recruiting point guard way worse than the other positions? Those 3 players turning out different than expected leaves people who don't give it much thought (and you) thinking Fran somehow can't recruit at point guard but can recruit everywhere else. 3 players = small sample size.

And like I said, of you want to say Fran sucks at recruiting in general, that's a different story. But it makes no sense at all to think he sucks at one position and is good at the rest.

For sure. If Fran has ever recruited a first or second team all conference PG in his entire career here people wouldn't say he recruits that position worse than other positions

KF can recruit OL but can't recruit WR. I wouldn't say KF is a terrible recruiter but he's a terrible WR recruiter

I'm kind of here too. I don't know if it is developmental, or he just hit his ceiling, but I thought he was gonna be really good by the time he was a Sr. Yet he seemed pretty much the same for 4 years. Steady eddie, good D, good hustle, good effort, but never figured out how to score consistently.

So I'll ask again. Why is that. Kirk can't recruit wide receiver because of the offense he runs. Why can't Fran recruit point guards? They hate running an up tempo offense? Point guards in general don't mesh with firey personallities? Point guards hate cold weather more than shooting guards, wings, forwards, and centers? Or does it just look that way because the one guy who under achieved here most happened to play point guard and some guys who over achieved happened to not? This is a serious question I would like you to answer.

I have no clue why Fran can't recruit point guards. It's mind boggling to me actually. He had so much to sell this year too and he still couldn't get one

So Fran sucks at recruiting center and point guard equally.

If there is no reasonable explanation, maybe you should start thinking about the possibility that it's random.

I think when a coach fails to recruit a certain position well it's not random. I don't have the explanation though as I'm not in the room when Fran is pitching these kids

He's failed at every position until Cook. Marble and White just improved greatly and Uthoff hated Wisconsin.

Gesell under performed while he was here, but he wasn't bad enough to say Fran sucks at getting point guards. If the bar is set at having all conference performers at every position, the bar is unrealistic.
