CFN projects 0-8 for Iowa in the Big Ten Conference.

Offense- 6 points (Arob TD)
Defense- 2 points (Safety)
Special Tems- 13 points (2 FG's, TD and an extra point)

Last I checked a blocked punt returned for a touchdown and FG's were special teams plays, not defensive.

Id credit safety,td to the defense. 8pts
Id credit fgs and the rb td to the offense. 13pts

Iowa returns most of their team. WM didn't. Western Michigan was just as bad and now they have a new coaching staff. And the game is in Iowa City.
You're right. Iowa is unbeatable at home against Directional Michigan teams. Oh wait, Kirk is actually 0-3 in those games.

I am not going to say anything about what our record could be. They look like they had a good winter and it looks like they are starting to get some O figured out. Who knows how many "captains practices" will be held this summer and how much work they put in this summer, soooooo I am going to wait until fall and we shall see just how much work was put in since last fall. Tell you what if I was in a 3 way race for qb, I would be working with some wr's and te's and trying to get everyone on the same page. Playing catch and running plays is the way to do it. If I was a DL I would be seeing if I could get an experienced OL out there to work on some things also. We will see just how bad these kids want to play ball, but it is looking better from what I have seen.

If only they had boxing swag.

Honestly, on a scale of 1-10 I would give Ferentz an 8 on the job he has done at Iowa over the course of his entire career. You and all the KF bashers like to focus on a cherry picked sample of data to bash and bash repeatedly.

Fact- The talent in the program was the lowest it had been in about 20 years when KF took over from Hayden.

Fact- It took him 3 years to get bowl the Hawks bowl eligible and in his 4th year Iowa had its first undefeated conference season in about 80 years.

Fact- KF has taken the team to 2 BCS Bowls and won a BCS Bowl, something Hayden never did.

Fact- He has developed more NFL talent than any other coach in Iowa history.

Fact- He has developed a Doak Walker winner, Groza winner, Outland Winner, Davey Obrien winner, AP Player of the Year, Heisman Runner-up, Mackey Award winner and multiple B1G award winners including 2 Big Ten Players of the Year.

Fact- KF has won B1G Coach of the Year 3 times and was National Coach of the Year once.

Fact- Season ticket sales and football revenue are as high as they have ever been.

The list could go on and on.

Janet Jackson said what?

I did not think it was all that bad, when you take into account I had my drink going on. :) It is true thou. When I was young you could have swagger after you earned it. If you went out and got your d!ck knocked in the dirt several times, you had no right to have any swagger to you.

All of the good assistants left. KOK stayed because nobody else would promote him. Just because KOK is finally gone, like most of us wanted, that doesn't mean KF gets a free pass to hire another failure! Get over that crap because nobody is buying it. Just like if KF gets fired and the AD hires a failure. Just because we want better doesn't mean we are to blame if we end up worse. That's still on the AD. Same thing goes if KF gets fired and we get a HC that gets us a NC. We can't take credit for that either.

Fact - 2-5 in games at Ames and those only 2 wins were with top 10 teams.
Fact - numerous horrible losses to Indiana, Minnesota, Northwestern, Purdue, Central Michigan and Western Michigan. I will give Kirk credit for wins at Penn State, Michigan and Wisconsin, but at $4 million/year, you're expected to win a couple of those every year.
Fact - Norm Parker was the great wizard behind the curtain.
Fact - The 1991 Iowa team would have gone to a BCS Bowl game, if the system today existed, then.
Fact - Since the end of the 2004 season, Ferentz is 58-44, with 11 of those wins came in 2009.
Fact - With the non-conference schedule every year, Iowa should start 4-0 every season, and, at least, go 4-4 in the conference, at a bare minimum.
Fact - Since the end of the 2005 season, Iowa has only finished higher than fourth in the Big Ten (2009 season).
Fact - The one thing that will get Ferentz fired is not his record on the field, but the lack of attendance in the stands.

Cherry pick some more bud.

And for the record, the 2004 team would have possibly made the BCS if the format was the same as today.

To be fair Section.

IMO: If Hayden Fry coached in this day and age. He would have been to 3 BCS Bowls (Rose Bowls 81,85 and 90). In 1987 and 1991 they might have attended another, I will say that 1991 would have been a lock for a BCS. Giving Hayden 4 LOCKS and quite possibly a 5th. Furthermore by comparison is that these BCS Bowl appearance would have happened in the first 13 years of Hayden's career at Iowa. Let's also toss in a #1 Ranking..
