Freed your kidding yourself if you think there are lot of better coaches than KF lining up for the Job. Its not about fear its reality. The fan base as a whole is still behind KF. When I talk to most people about those wanting KF out they just laugh, and say there will always be crazys. ( not talking about you ) I think message boards tend to be a place for wana be coachs to gravitate to. I do think another 4 win season would put KF in a downward spriol that might be to tough to turn around. Its not there yet

If crazy means not wanting ferentz as Iowa's coach, you can call me crazy any time you want.
Still think they got a chance to be ok this year. If ferentz let's his cordinators coach without stepping in, they may have a chance to do better than we think.

Freed, I cant belive how you think KF is a Football idiot. Do you know how well respected he is in the coaching commuinnty ? Part of the problem last year was him not stepping in and makeing position coaches change when they wernt on the same page. He is a big delegator. Other than QB I dont think interfers at all in player rotation during a game

I don't mean that. I mean that he should not get in the way of his coordinators and their strategy. From what I hear, he did last year and the result was not pretty.
G. Davis has 40 years of coaching experience. Not saying that automtically makes him good, but you'd think he could come up with a game plan that, at the very least, moves the ball.
Call me ignorant, but I heard an interview with him a few weeks ago and was impressed by his plans for the upcoming season.

I agree last year was a mess. Some old some new not on the same page. In hind site KF maybe should have turned the whole staff over in one year instead of taking two. But as you know that would go against his personality. I also think GD deserves another year to show his system works. That doesnt meen a top 10 offense, but one starting to work.

His game day coaching is awful. Its funny to hear the commentators choke on their words as they try to be nice. How about the game thread on the Michigan board during the Nebraska game. KF is a joke when it comes to his game day calls. Everyone knows it.

And you are drinking Kirk's grape kool-aid buddy! There is absolutely NO WAY we win 8 games this year. New QB and tougher schedule. The fact that we went 4-8 last year with a WEAK schedule means the team was really only about a 2-10 team.

I'd rather have a decent year myself. To be clear 7 or more wins would be a very decent year in '13. I will expect more in '14...8-9 wins. I must accept mediocrity cause I will almost never "expect" more than 9 wins....almost never.
