Yeah Iowa's basketball program isn't at the same level as ISU's that is a fact. Sorry. It'll be a tough game in IC as it is a road game and a rivalry and we'll be without McKay. I still think we win. Why are you turning a basketball thread into a football debate? It is pointless to argue with you I don't think you are old enough to remember the 80's. From what I can tell you probably weren't even alive. Iowa won 15 games in a row vs. ISU. ISU fans tore down the goal post after every single win. 1-2 win seasons were the expectation. If you can't admit the gap has tightened during this generation you are downright ignorant. Ferentz has a losing record to ISU. That is proof enough. Iowa has the superior football program at the moment. Cyclone fans recognize this. I find it hilarious that you and other Hawk fans can't admit Hoiberg is building a monster in Ames.

I'll admit that Ferentz isn't a great game time coach or a great game planning coach, but I have a hard time thinking Hoiberg is building a monster program in Ames. Hoiberg had a nice team last year, but they weren't that good.

Yeah Big 12 tourney champs, #3 seed in the NCAA tournament, Big 12 POY and ~ top 10 team in the country = they weren't that good. You are brilliant! Iowa is right around the corner for a #1 seed and then we can consider them "pretty good" I guess. My goodness!

#SuperBowl is about the fan base, not the players and coaches. #SuperBowl means that when ISU wins 4 total games, ISU fans are OK with this and will sell even more season tickets and open the SEZ, all because 1 of those 4 wins are vs Iowa.

Just look at ForeverDouche and his posting. He came and puffed his chest out, bragged about how ISU was overtaking Iowa all offseason after beating iowa in 2012. Crickets from ForeverDouche when Iowa beat ISU. Now ISU wins again in 2014 and it is all back to his same old Clown glee, even though I think most Clones understand this is a 4, maybe 5 win team.

Iowa fans judge their team, program and success based on winning 8 or so games a year, NOT ON BEATING ISU. Sadly the same can't be said about ISU fans. As long as ISU beats Iowa it is a successful year for them.
