Not sure what to expect with ISU football. The offense should be pretty dang good the defense is extremely young. If the defense can become a formidable unit it could be a decent year. Iowa should have a great year. Historically under Ferentz they are tough when they are experienced in the trenches. They certainly are that and they picked the right year to avoid Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State. Their two toughest competitors (Wisky & NEB) may be self-admittedly a bit down this year. Could be a great year for you guys. This is how I would break it down:

Jared Uthoff is a solid player and I was always confused why he didn't receive more playing time last year. That being said, who on my list would you put him in front of then? I ranked him 7th.

I didn't mean for sacrasm to be trolling, but I can see how that came off. I honestly thought it was good discussion. FWIW, I only thought Jok would get a suspension because of his second offense being so soon after the first. People on here thought he'd be kicked off the team at one point. Sounds like Fran handled it internally.
As far as Kane goes his toughness, leadership, and mentoring of Morris was a huge reason Iowa State had success on the court last year as well as going forward. He had a better college season in every conceivable way than marble did. Obviously won't have the same pro career and that's okay.
As far as Jok and uthoff go they will be pretty good this year. No way either starts at Iowa State unless you're sending Dejean-jones or Hogue to the bench which wouldn't happen.

They don't have the intellect to understand or differentiate the college game from the NBA and drafting based on youth/potential. Kane and Ejim were both superior collegiate players and the post-season awards recognized that. When the only other draft pick you've had in 15+ years was an ISU transfer (Haluska) you're going to throw any stone you can find. Let them enjoy their 2nd round draft pick.

An intelligent person sees Kane only succeed because he was a 25 year old playing against kids 4-7 years younger than him. NBA scouts realize his game of bullying his way to the basket won't translate at all to the league, but Clone fans think it's some conspiracy that he was passed over by every team in the draft and no one bothered to bring him into a camp which is why he's going to Europe. Oh, and where is that huge China offer he was supposed to get? I'm shocked that didn't come to fruition.
