How much of a "college player" is a 25 year old?
Well, he was enrolled at ISU and took classes. Why do you ask?
Oh I get it, you're reaching for anything you can to discount Kane.

Not scared of anything, I just don't follow your marching orders. If you want to break them down, feel free. Me, I'm focused on football......ohhhhhh, now I understand why you are focused on basketball, it is actually the beginning of basketball season for ISU fans at about 3:00 on Saturday.
Not sure what to expect with ISU football. The offense should be pretty dang good the defense is extremely young. If the defense can become a formidable unit it could be a decent year. Iowa should have a great year. Historically under Ferentz they are tough when they are experienced in the trenches. They certainly are that and they picked the right year to avoid Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State. Their two toughest competitors (Wisky & NEB) may be self-admittedly a bit down this year. Could be a great year for you guys. This is how I would break it down:
Georges Niang
Bryce Dejean-Jones
Aaron White
Jameel McKay
Monte Morris
Dustin Hogue
Jared Uthoff
Abdel Nader
Naz Long
Mike Gessell
Josh Oglesby
Matt Thomas
Gabe Olaseni
Adam Woodbury
Peter Jok
Clayton Custer
Trey Dickerson
For me, its too early to really make a list like this. I at least have to see the new guys.
ForeverIowa ... You have been basing all of your ridiculous arguments on stats (because going to the NBA doesn't matter), and you have 5 ISU players above Uthoff? I would bet that Uthoff (and Jok) average more than at least 2 of those players you have above him.
You're posts provide nice comedy, so stick around. I'm with mj4cy though, too early until I see them dribble a basketball.
Like I said in my original post, I haven't seen everyone play. I'll be back to you in Nov/Dec.
But using your logic, Uthoff will outscore at least one of those guys, therefore, is better.
Plus, as you've previously shown, you're ******* delusional when it comes to evaluating your own players talent. Kane/Ejim/Babb/Garrett/White = 8th playoff seed in the West LOL
I said 8th seed in the playoffs? interesting....yes I did say decent in the NBA. I suppose there is so much divide in talent between teams in the East/West...could argue crappy team in the West, average team in the East. Either way, not sure where I said playoffs. You really got off to that comment didn't you.....
Well they do it for a living unlike you and I....so yes...they have a better more unbiased perspective than you or I. Yes. Good point though.

How is your troll thread about Jok going on CF, mod?
I didn't know mods trolled.
Oh you mean the thread where I was surprised he didn't get a suspension and both Hawk and Clone fans had for the most part a civil discussion on it? If that's trolling, then I don't know what isn't. There were great points in that thread from fans of both fan bases. You must have not read through it.

As far as Kane goes his toughness, leadership, and mentoring of Morris was a huge reason Iowa State had success on the court last year as well as going forward. He had a better college season in every conceivable way than marble did. Obviously won't have the same pro career and that's okay.
As far as Jok and uthoff go they will be pretty good this year. No way either starts at Iowa State unless you're sending Dejean-jones or Hogue to the bench which wouldn't happen.
They don't have the intellect to understand or differentiate the college game from the NBA and drafting based on youth/potential. Kane and Ejim were both superior collegiate players and the post-season awards recognized that. When the only other draft pick you've had in 15+ years was an ISU transfer (Haluska) you're going to throw any stone you can find. Let them enjoy their 2nd round draft pick.
We have the intelligence to understand that the BETTER PLAYER gets to the NBA. Nobody asked who had the most productive year, the question was who was the better player. I mean according to feeble minds like you, Ejim >>>> Embid, Vonleh, and Kane >>>>>LaVine, Ennis, Marble.
An intelligent person understands the difference, and understands who the better player is. Sadly Clowns aren't know as being a very intelligent fan base, and worse yet for you, is that you are possibly the dumbest of the dumb fan base.
