Bad Day for Da Haters

You just said it.

Pretty tough day for da Haters when they all thought Iowa would never beat Miss St.
We beat Iowa of the SEC. We were mirrored opponents. Both had stout defenses, but inept offenses and that’s exactly how it played. Iowa nearly always plays well when they are playing a one dimensional team like this as everything is put on the shoulders of the defense. The only thing kf lacks is a dominant punter as he loves playing the old electronic football game field position battle. The 8 penalties for 90 yards to zero Iowa penalties was a major advantage. Miss St had a td called back and had a guy called down at the 1 and they proceeded to settle for a field goal. Both significant turning points. Outside the easley seam route, we had 125 yards of offense folks as kirk stubbornly played phone booth football with them until they all but begged us to throw to the walk on. Luckily, their coach was every bit the “aw shucks” that kirk is and we did just enough to win. For the 100th time, kudos to the Iowa defense for bailing everyone out. Not sure gervase is the hero everyone wants to make of him as left a wide open receiver in the end zone while he guarded the end line but he did a good job of putting his hands up to keep the deflected pass from sticking in his facemask. Here’s to 2019 when we attempt to beat more than one p5 team with a winning record during the regular season while staving off the mighty clowns that look all the part as being ready to finally lay claim to the state for a while. In my opinion, if our offensive issues aren’t addressed for real, we aren’t going to like that series in the coming yrs.

I'll be afraid of ole soupy boy when he puts together an offense that doesn't fall apart against a defense with a pulse, or an OL that isn't a liability.

Da Haters don't just bitch about play calling or bad coaching, they bitch 24/7 non stop about anything and everything. They are even bitching about winning today.
And your bitching about bitching, I loved the win, I loved the game, I still don't love Kirk, but I love Iowa! This whole your a "hater" if you have an opinion contrary to yours is a crock of shit! I bleed black and gold but I can still think for myself.

That was the #1 defense in the country that Iowa scored 3 touchdowns against. You also fail to acknowledge the 16 points Iowa gave them on the botched punt and 2 turnovers to start the 2nd half.

Yes Iowa has some lucky bounces, but so did they. I recall an interception that hit, I think, Gervase in the hands.

Iowa defeated a damn good SEC team.

What never fails is Da Haters are gonna bitch, win lose or draw. That is what they do.

Exactly. If the Hawks were to stop the opponent every time with a three and out and score on every possession but one time settle for a field goal, some on this board would complain that we didn't score a touchdown on that one possession. They'd blame the coaching staff, the play calling, the lack of athletes, the "1950's offense", the starting quarterback, the lack of speed, yada, yada, yada.

So you feel that our -15 rush yds to their 190, our 1-11 3rd down conversions and the fact that we had one big pass play made us the clearly better team? Im elated that we won, but, we won because their qb and receivers are disastrous.

Their defensive line punished our o-line. THEY ran for 190 yds vs our -15 yds. Stats reveal what everyone saw. They shot themselves in the foot all day long. Im glad we won, i feel they are the better team.

Of course they are the better team. If you are going by athleticism.

The haters are the ones that look outside the box and don't like how embarrassing the team looks on tv. Don't like how announcers know nothing about the team because of that embarrassment. Don't like the national perception that leads to the embarrassment. Don't like the lack of recruiting and usage of skill players.

If you enjoy watching the same run play over and over and over go for, as the stats say, -1 yard on average, and throw insults at people who just don't enjoy the win then i guess you're not a "hater." Sorry, I can be pissed at how terrible this team must look from outsiders which obviously leads to the lack of respect we get.

I'm not sure how people can ignore the stats, the coach blunders, clock mismanagement, misuse of skill players, terrible playcalling and think.. You know, that was fun to watch and we won. NAw, I'll be a realist and think Good god, that was the least innovative play calling in a decade. Ferentz 2.0 is gone.. The players, in the end, played above their coaching and got the win.

And ps. If your a blow hard and throw the most insults and call the most people names because their opinions are different than yours.... your a dbag.

If one derives their sporting enjoyment only by gaining national adulation, then I would suggest they look inward and heal their wounded sense of self esteem.

A loser says a win is a win. A person that accepts average says a win is a win. A team that will never be nationally relevant is happy with a win no matter how. A winner steps back, analyzes what happened and says, you know, we played like ass. We should have lost that thing. Lets get better. Lets F&*(k the prom queen.

I question your merit to transcribe to this board the thought process of "a winner".
