Are we the third best team in Iowa?

They were both overly careful with the ball to the point where they wouldn't try a pass unless it was a sure thing.

He set the school record for most assists in a season. What do you have against Mike? He's obviously better than our current situation and a true fan would recognize what he did for this program in my opinion

I just made a list of reasons why. Did he set the school record for assists per game and I don't know about it? Better yet, did he set the record for assists per possession? Or how about assists per minute played? Or assists that weren't to jump shooters coming off screens?

Here's a crazy story guys. A point guard who never shoots the ball and played a ton of minutes for an uptempo team broke the school record for assists. How did that ever happen? He must be a better Passer than Armstrong and Woolridge.

Making the smart pass is a skill, not luck. I doubt you questioned White's scoring ability even though a lot of his points came from just trying to draw a foul and making two free throws. Mike set a school record and was honorable mention all conference and you refuse to give him credit for it. It's sad really

If Bohannon would have been on last year's team and played that many minutes, he would have probably had just as many assists while actually shooting the ball sometimes. Woody would have been a double digit scorer instead of wasting his time posting up just to have Gesell look at him then pass it around the parimiter.

I already said I question White's scoring ability. He played a ton of minutes on a team who played a ton of games in an uptempo offense. He's nowhere near the 2nd best scorer in Iowa history. You know how I know? I watched the games instead of reading stats.

Mike averaged over 8 ppg last year, how could he do that if he never shot the ball?

I never said making a smart pass was luck. I said that's all he did was attempt the 100% safe pass. What takes skill is knowing when the risk reward is worth attempting a pass that could result in a turnover. JB is far from perfect at this and that's why his turnovers are high. But it's also why our post players have scored more easy buckets this year because he actually tries to get them the ball.

Our post players are much better offensively than what we had last year

So a Fr isn't as good as a Sr? Well no shit. The crazy thing is Jordan assists number are comparable to Mike as a Jr. And blows away what Mike did at Jordan's age.

Never shoots the ball means for as much as he had wide open shots, he didn't take them near often enough. Never doesn't mean he took zero shots over the whole year. I thought you would understand that but I guess not.

He's smart about his shots. Bohannon should be shooting less in my opinion
