Basically, all of this backs up the logic that as of right now, Iowa isn't in the tournament. Everyone agrees with this.
 
Nobody is arguing that Iowa is vastly improved and no longer a bottom feeder. Shouting out close losses is not impressive to all fans.

Are people really this jaded by being an Iowa basketball fan that they can't let themselves accept that Iowa is a bubble team? I mean, we're on the outside looking in but still, we're a bubble team.

Why? You saying you did not make that bet? It would take me hours to find it, not worth my time. Had you won the bet I would have taken the week off and not made you come up with proof.
 
So much fail by the OP. Oklahoma had an rip yesterday of 24. Even with the lose and a first round loss, they are a lock. Their RapI was 45 spots higher than Iowa's with a much better SOS.

Same for nc state, Minnesota, and Colorado

that this year's Iowa team is fools gold and appears much better than they actually are due to a favorable schedule.

a disgrace of a non conference schedule to pad some W's, then more than half of Iowa's conference wins are against god awful Neb, PSU, and NW. Iowa didn't beat one of the top 4 teams in the big 10.

not a tournament worthy team. you're wasting your time paying attention to RPI and "the bubble".

It didn't help that Northern Iowa wasn't as good as advertised, but still, the overall nonconference schedule rank of 308 looks like it is going to keep this .500 Big Ten team -- which would normally be a worthy distinction -- from serious bubble consideration, barring a big push in Chicago next week.

Iowa is a bubble team. Why cant you just enjoy it and hope for the best. Unless you are not an Iowa fan, then WTF are you doing here?

That was before they lost to rpi 228 TCU. Now they are 34. So. Miss is 35, are they in?

Virginia plays Maryland (who should be on this list) today... one will improve standing/other out?
Saint Mary's will most likely use an auto bid by winning the West Coast conference.
Temple plays VCU today in a "NCAA ticket" game. GO VCU! Help us out.
LaSalle... count them out, too many better teams here.

That being said... I keep an Excel file with teams and usually only miss 1 or 2 selections every year. Right now... I have 56 LOCKS. Kentucky being the latest. This leaves 12 SPOTS AVAILABLE with 21 teams in serious contention..

Any other teams would have to win the conference tournament to get in.

Iowa is a very weak bubble team, at best. and watching you try to find every way to argue that they should be in is entertaining.
 
I just know that there have been at least three times in recent history where I've read people claim "No chance this happens, blah, blah, blah, angry fart" in relation to Iowa sports even though evidence shows they have a shot (2005 NCAA tournament, no way they make it. They did. I read people claiming now way Iowa makes a BCS game during the 2009 season, after the Ohio State loss, they did. Last year, people claimed, no way they make the NIT, they did)

I'm not claiming Iowa dances this year, in fact, my prediction right now is that they won't. But good God, some people are either trolling or just miserable.

They likely are now. But the question is, are they if they win a second round tournament game?
 
Why on earth would i include So Miss?

Illinois can lose to Nebby and still get in IMO. ISU can lose and still get in IMO that is why those 2 are not included.

How is UK a lock? Because they beat Florida who already celebrated their out right SEC championship?

I mentioned Maryland. They will be on the list if they win, otherwise they are not.

BYU?? What are you smoking?
