14 Spots Open?

Iowa is a very weak bubble team, at best. and watching you try to find every way to argue that they should be in is entertaining.
Watching your rag on them in every post makes me question if youre a troll. Its not an insult, but a serious inquiry

Remember when Iowa state lost to Iowa and beat nobody in the non conf and then used that ridiculously easy joke of a conference schedule to get into the tournament?

One thing I dont understand is ISU fans blasting Iowa's non conf sched considering they didnt beat anybody in their non conf sched

I'm giving plenty of rationale for why I don't think they deserve to make the tournament, even with another win over lowly NW. I don't think blatant trolling typically includes evidence to support a difference of opinion.

But ISU's non conference SOS wasn't 320, or whatever Iowa's was. ISU didn't necessarily have any marquee wins, but they played a much tougher non con. I don't see how you can argue that.

and obviously they have done enough, since seemingly every pundit has them as in, even with a first round big XII tourney loss.

So you have Illinois and Iowa State as locks... Alright, not too far off as I have them currently IN.
Southern Miss and BYU are not on my IN list, they just haven't been removed from contention. Again, right along with you.
I have UK as a lock because I don't think the NCAA will have the balls to not invite them.
Maryland-Virginia game is huge for these teams, and we really need VCU to beat Temple today.

Wow, look at this murderers row of a non conf sched from the Clones!

http://www.rpiforecast.com/teams/Iowa St..html

Games against the top 50 - TWO
Wins against the top 50 - ZERO
Games against the top 100 - FOUR
Wins against the top 100 - ONE

Then you have Iowa's

Games gainst the top 50 - TWO
Wins against the top 50 - ONE
Games against the top 100 - THREE
Wins against the top 100 - TWO

What a huge difference

They've pretty much defeated an overrated, Oklahoma team. Two wins over a meh Baylor team and then two good wins over Kansas State and Oklahoma State. Plus they lost to Texas Tech, who's really, really bad. Yet they seem to be in at this point. I don't get it.

Played in a weaker conference and lost head to head.... Iowa State is NOT a lock at this point. Where is anyone getting this idea?

See my post above - they have a better non conf but it isnt that much better as the numbers show. I think ISU should be in but blasting Iowa's non conf is weird considering yours isnt that great, Also, there is a reason Iowa's was weak....freshman needed experience. Fran has said that multiple times. Iowa had several chances to overcome that sched with Conf wins but couldnt seal the deal. ISU won some of those big conf games and that is about the only difference between the 2 teams and their resumes

Right now they are in, but if they lose their first game watch out. The NCAA leaves the prior Champion out quite often. It happens nearly every other year. I dont think Calipari is necessarily liked amongst the ADs in college BBall.

Doug Gottlieb just update his last 5 in, last 5 out: He said if the last 5 in lose in the first round, they could be out.

IN
Akron ** (best player is suspended pending drug charges, Seth Davis says they are not an at large anyway)
Villanova
Boise St
Oklahoma (TCU loss really hurt as i suspected)
Temple

OUT
Tennessee
Baylor
Iowa
Virginia
Kentucky (still not a lock by any means)

Doug Gottleib graduated from OSU so of course he will throw OU in there, but they are a lock
