As bad as the d was it was the turnovers that lost Iowa the game. That stretch halfway through the second half where we seemed to turn the ball over 4-5 times in a row for easy layups.

A QB is only as good as his receivers. Last year he had 4 reliable targets and this year with vandeberg out and kittle being in an out he doesn't really have any. I'm also assuming the knee and knee brace is limiting his ability to make plays with his feet.

I"m sorry but I don't see a one loss ND team getting picked above two undefeated conference champs. If Iowa and OK ST win out and ND gets' picked ahead of either of them something is extremely wrong with how this whole thing is set up.

Not trying to diminish what our d has done but part of them being better is their opponents being worse. Just go back and look at how many catch-able balls by our opponents were dropped. Another aspect being our offense having long drives keeping them off the field and rested.
