    Winning out

Iowa will beat Purdue and get to a bowl. I'm extremely confident in that. Outside of that I could see the final two games going either way but probably more likely to lose them.

    Camp Randall south

Well I was at kinnick and there was not really that many Wisconsin fans there. No more than what you would typically see from Wisconsin anyway. Not sure what you saw on tv, but visitors seats are always in the front rows by the south end zone. Those are terrible seats. In no way at all did this...

Win or Lose...Coaching Staff deserves all of the criticism that comes their way

Some of you are just truly ignorant. I'll leave it at that. Great game, great win, great day to be a Hawkeye! Go Hawks!!

Weather report for game tomorrow por favor

Temps will struggle to hit 50. Cold brisk nw winds will make it feel even colder. It should be partly cloudy to mostly sunny but it will be chilly.

    Iowa/Wisconsin on ABC 11:00am

The channel will be announced sometime on Saturday after the games. Either abc, espn, or espn2. If we win it will likely be abc or espn.

Boring night ahead for Ferentz haters

But at least I started this thread so you can all take shots at me. Ha!

    LB Injury Rumor

I was told by someone close to the situation that he expects to play Saturday, but is being held out of practice this week. Sounded like an ankle sprain. I edited this to say expect instead of "will play" as I re-read my text message and that was the exact words used.

    NIU Weather

The current forecast from the National Weather Service is 91 for Saturday. That is cooler than what models were suggesting a couple of days ago, but still very hot for football.

    NIU Weather

Ball St 2005 was 91 degrees. ColoradoHawkeye provided this info below in a different thread a couple of days ago. Nonetheless, I remember a few others being super hot, so I looked up all Aug/Sept games from 1979-2012...while there were many in the 70`degree and high 60s, most it seemed...

Everyone should bring two large plastic bottles of water to NIU game

Thanks for doing the research Colorado. I was going to mention the Ball St game in 2005, I recall that game being very hot, but I was thinking around 90 was the high, plus it was an 11am kick, so it wasn't as hot at the start. With this being a 2:30 kick we'll be at peak heating at kickoff...

Everyone should bring two large plastic bottles of water to NIU game

Yes, you can already bring in 2 bottles of unopened water as long as it is a clear bottle. I brought in a Deja Blue once and had to throw it out since it's a blue bottle. But yes, computer models are forecasting temps in the mid to possibly upper 90s next Saturday, with heat indices pushing...

Ross P to Alabama - For Real

Tweet from Scott Dochterman Scott Dochterman ‏@ScottDochterman 12m Twice last week RP called Iowa to say he was committing to Bama. Both times Ferentz spent an hour flipping him back. Didn't work this time.

Jon, why are you concerned Ames won't be "safe"?

I was there and had no issues whatsoever. If you want trouble you can find it anywhere. This is such a stupid argument. So are we to believe a 5pm kick in Ames is somehow going to be more dangerous than night games in baton rogue, Tuscaloosa, Gainesville, Columbus, etc? I don't see those...

Can’t Blame Iowa Hawkeyes’ Fans For Being Disappointed With The Big Ten Network

I want 1 night game per year. I enjoy going to night games but I would not want more than one per year. I like a good mix of 230 and 11 am as well. Sometimes I don't mind the early kicks but hopefully we get At least a couple 230 kicks

What Are Your Thoughts on Continuing Iowa-ISU FB Series?

There is no doubt that isu has much much more to gain each year but I'd still rather play them. I'm not afraid of Iowa st and hawkeye fans shouldn't be either. It's now a healthy rivalry and if we want to claim to be better then prove it on the field. Keep the game. It's good for the state and...

BTN Announces Night Game Schedule: No Iowa

I agree with your second thought. Barta may have stated they wanted day games on some of the same dates Btn considered for Iowa. But that is just speculation.

BTN Announces Night Game Schedule: No Iowa

No. This is the entire prime time schedule. There will be no other b1g games broadcast in prime time unless they are non conference road games that could be picked up by fox, CBS, or NBC sports net.

    Kinnick expansion?

This is dead on. When I was a student from 98-2002 the student section was loud (well in 01 & 02 when we are actually good that is). It was an intimidating place. It completely lost that when they moved the students. I sit on the 8 yard line now right next to the students and I can barely hear...

    New Scoreboards

The south end zone "jumbotron" was too small the day it was installed. I can't wait for an upgrade. And the sound system definitely needed an upgrade.
