Hopefully not. Ever since they re-did the South endzone the stadium hasn't been as loud because its easier for the noise to escape (although Kinnick vs. Wisconsin in '10 was as loud as I can remember).
Bingo.

My first trip to Kinnick was about 30 years ago. I weigh about 190, but would prefer to shed a little bit though. How much do you weigh? Actually I don't really care. Feel free to keep that to yourself.
Like I said in a prior post. I really don't care about Kinnick one way or the other. The bench seats and field turf are laughable but it doesn't keep me away. I like the team that plays there but as a stadium it doesn't impress. It did when I was a kid but when I started to go to other college and NFL stadiums it proved to be just another old stadium.
I do enjoy the "we just spent 90 million, moron, your attention span and knowledge is short" crew. Just because you spent money, doesn't mean you spent it well. But you fellas are like most, our opinions are different. So that makes you right and me wrong. Carry on.
I'm not very big, but I could see how somebody wouldn't like it if they were large. You certainly are in the minority, Iowa fan or not. Most fans in the B1G consider it to be one of best places to see a game in the conference. I don't know how many stadiums you've been to, but aesthetically it is also near the top. The only NFL stadiums I have been to are Soldier, Tampa, and Miami. It absolutely destroys Soldier, and Miami, and I like it quite a bit more than Tampa, but it certainly isn't more comfortable.
Oh well, still really seems weird that you wouldn't think it is great. I really do question how many other stadiums you've been to. Kinnick is one of the best.
I have seats in the north endzone and hope they dont touch it.
Kinnick has not been the same since the last remodeling.

They are building (3) $300Million structures on the same ground accross the street. They just have to dig down to the bedrock which i believe is 60-65 feet down. .
They should just tear down the hospital and build a replica of Kinnick but bigger.
IMO
Ramp 2 and Field House Main Street Demolition - Construction Update - YouTubeInteresting.
The current bedrock which the east side of Kinnick's pillars rest cannot hold more weight as is.
If they wanted to expand, they could add more club seats to the east side. There is nothing stopping them. Not sure why my quote was used??
As I said...."as is" (i.e. without drilling 60 feet down), the current bedrock which Kinnick sits on (east side) cannot support more weight, thus no more seats, thus no expansion.
This is dead on. When I was a student from 98-2002 the student section was loud (well in 01 & 02 when we are actually good that is). It was an intimidating place. It completely lost that when they moved the students. I sit on the 8 yard line now right next to the students and I can barely hear them. They are a non factorAgreed. The entire south section is pushed much further away from the field and they also put the entire student section out there. Took the student body and that entire end of the field completely out of the game. The modern day kinnick is not even close to as nasty as it was in the early days of Ferentz.
