I am the one who started this thread...grew up in NE Iowa and have been a fan since the infamous 1953 ND game. I made a typing error on Ten and decided to leave it as uncorrected because the decisions made by the commissioner's office brought a negative image to the BiG. To me the article...

I agree 100% and have wondered why we don't see counter action. I remember in High School we had great success when we ran the Wing back counter out of the Wing T. Incidentally, this type of play run out of the Split T resulted in Iowa's longest play from Scrimmage in the 1954 Purdue game...
Good Point that is overlooked...I like JVB as a really good kid but he does not have the play making ability of Drew Tate or Brad Banks both could break contain when flushed and where as Banks Ran Tate Scrambled to find open receivers.

I believe that the current staff has carried Iowa Football as far as it could based on their abilities. With the current staff, 7-6 or 6-7 records are going to be the normal. I believe Iowa Football has reached the status where it would attract a top head coach. It is now one of the very...
Jon, I have noticed that you have had to intervene a lot lately. Have you ever thought of closing it down and re-surfacing again as another website where you start off with more control over content with stricter rules. I will say that I am glad you made an effort to clean this site up....some...
Craig James I admired your great long break away runs as a High School Senior. The way you carried your team in that Play off game in the Astrodome...that great middle screen that you ran 80 yards down the east sideline against UT when you were a back at SMU ws an artistic thing of beauty...
