Not that this is gospel or anything, but I heard Morehouse say he would be surprised if Sash is back. Said he'll be 23 this spring, citing that as a tipping point of sorts. The turmoil right now probably doesn't help. I'm inclined to think he won't be back

Unless the Iowa offense regains its mojo from the 1st half of the season I really don't see Iowa winning this game. The IA defense will need to stay fresh against a potent spread offense like the Tigers. 3 and outs, or 1 first down per drive, when IA has the ball will kill us.

Alex Thompson would be an interesting where are they now? I watched Sondy play last year for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants when I was down at the Well for an Energy game. He was still sporting the mop top looking just like he did in college. Great for a couple minutes, but lacsidaisical most of the time.

Lou Holtz is also widely regarded as one of the greatest motivating coaches in modern history. I'm not in the locker room with Ferentz but I really don't see him inspiring anybody or lighting a fire under anyone. If it's inspiration that Hawk teams need, I'm not sure where it's going to come...

I would ask you why a good coach cannot adjust scheme to fit his personnel? I understand the system works when the pieces fit. Also I didn't mean changes by necessarily firing people. But it would be great to hear Ferentz come out and say we're going to experiment with some different packages...

I'd be willing to bet absolutely no offseason changes will be made and Iowa runs the exact same scheme offensively and defensively next season. Sad but true, imo.

Looking forward to seeing what Davis can do in a full time starting role. Seemed like he's got great hands in the limited time I've seen him this year. Specifically I'm remembering Ball State where Stanzi hit him multiple times on one drive. I just remember thinking "Wow this kid's got great hands"
