Does anybody not think Clayborn was double teamed last year? Did teams not try and chip him or help with a tight end? Clayborn is not in shape and it shows. I don't question his effort, but the results are not the same.

Dick Peth has not done that good a job at Wartburg. Additionally, his personailty make Lick look like Johnny Carson.

The new coach has to have the freedom to succeed. This may mean he doesn't want certain players to be a part of the team. It is a business and happens all the time.

I agree Martin operates on the margins although I think Drew does as well. If the Hawks did hire Martin, I would be interested to see what the roster looks like next year:-)

Imo, Iowa has to get someone who can recruit Illinois. I wouldn't care if they have Iowa ties or not.

I have a friend who played at Iowa with Lusk. He thinks he is a great guy and a very talented recruiter AND X & O coach. Iowa could do a lot worse than to hire Lusk.
