Will anyone be providing match updates tomorrow?

TEAM STANDING AFTER SESSION II (Top five teams)
1. Penn State 38.5
2. Minnesota 33
3.Oklahoma State 28
4. Cornell 27.5
5. IOWA 26

Can you all guess why Iowa is in 5th and not higher? Bonus points. If you don't get them in the National Tourney you lose, simple and to the point. Our wrestlers are wrestling to stay alive, not to win. The only exception to that is McD. It's going to be a long weekend unless Iowa decides to start being aggressive.
 
As Brands has said, "we train to be individual champs, we do that, and team points take care of themselves."
Going for bonus points is easier said than done. Especially when ex hawks and ex assistants are out there teaching the Hawkeye way!

Bonus points are soooo easy to get: from behind a keyboard. This is getting annoying. You guys ***** and moan like the Hawks could win every match by 8 or 15 but they are not doing it for some reason other than The fact that this is the national tournament and every match is a dog fight. These whiney ,complaining ,self-pitying "fans" are so pathetic. What do you get out of coming on here degrading the Hawks and selling them short? How is that productive? There are 8 guys alive, 6 fighting for the finals and THANKFULLY those 8 guys don't waste any of their time doubting this team.
 
This morning is where the big money is made:
125 PSU should get dropped, but expect Cornell, Minn, and Iowa to win
133 Minn lose, Ok St and Iowa win
141 Minn lose, Iowa favored but will be tough
149 Minn lose, PSU with a tweaked knee against a guy who gives him fits, Ok St wins
157 Cornell wins, Iowa chance to drop PSU
165 PSU wins
174 PSU and Ok St wins, Iowa chance to drop Minn
184 PSU wins, Cornell and Minn face each other
197 Cornell and Ok St wins, Minn loses
Hwt Minn wins, Iowa against DNC who is not wrestling real well, PSU in a tough match


Might be too late to catch PSU, but you should see Minn drop hard this round.

they're not complaining but instead just stating the obvious: even with 8 alive with 6 in the quarters we are in 5th place because we are not getting bonus points and others are. that's not putting down our wrestlers is talking about the tournament. nobody was offended when before the tournament when the common consensus was that for Iowa to keep up we had to get bonus points early because psu had more horses capable of bonus throughout.
 
Still can't believe Evans chocked it away last night that was a huge loss and really gave Iowa no chance now of winning it all baring a huge act of god.

PSU seems to not have any issue rolling up the Bonus points, i guess that means there wrestlers are just that much better than ours huh....
 
One thing i will say is that this tournament always produces surprises. Who knows, maybe PSU steps in the crap today and blows up and Iowa comes out and scores bonus points in more matches than not. I have seen teams blow up on friday and mayb this is PSU's year to do that......I hope.
 
With all those complaining,did any of you happen to look at who each guy from IOWA psu and minny have wrestled? Overall I think IOWA has had a tougher draw. With psu having 3 top seeds they will have the better chance of scoring bonus points! The one thing I hate about this time of year is all the "keyboard warriors" get on the boards and talk like they know the sport. Where are you guys all season? Just cause the bb and football team suck doesn't mean you need to come in the wrestling board and degrade the team. It's too bad most of the negative posts come from non wrestlers! Get a new hobby,.btw frank the tank only had a decision in his last match, guess he is not aggressive or trying to go for the "kill" it has nothing to do with what your opponent is doin! GO HAWKS!!

Yeah, narrow 1 pter for Molinaro in the previous matchup against an unseeded I believe.. hopefully, that wasn't a wake up call for him..
 
Exactly right pumpdog. Don't count out the Hawks yet. 6 guys alive on the championship side and 4 are favored with the other two winnable. 2 guys on the bottom side and those are winnable for the forseeable future as well. Let's see how today shakes out. Alot can happen in the next two days.

This is exactly right. Today and in particular this morning session is the make or break for Iowa. Get all 6 guys into the semis or at least 5 and have the 2 on the backside win and Iowa will be sitting in a great position going into the night session. Iowa just can't lose Evans or Gambrall this morning/afternoon.

That is what a few people on Hamilton's live chat are saying, the Hawks need to go 6/6 in the championship side this morning.
