Who was the last 4 star hoops recruit?

I know Tyler Smith was a 4 star but I'm talking about the last 4 star guy to commit to Iowa out of high school. I think all the guys Alford and Lick got were no higher than 3's.

Do we have to go back to Mr. Davis for this?

I'm pretty sure Tyler Smith was a true freshman his one year at Iowa, so he had to have been in high school when he committed..

Other than that, I think probably Gatens, and I believe Baes Hamga was a 4-star who of course decomitted when Alf split.

Horner and Brunner were both 4-star.

I'm not sure about Alford's Reiner-Worley class.. I would have thought someone in that group may have been 4-star as well.
 
Gatens was a 4 star on Scout, but not Rivals. In fact, on Rivals, Mike Gesell and Tyler Smith are the only 4 Star basketball recruits since 2002.

On Scout, you can throw in Brunner, Horner, and Gatens.

I know all sites are different so I checked them out.

ESPN had him as a 3 star but a 91 grade.
Scout.com had him as a 4 star
Rivals.com had him as a 3 star.

I think everyone has Gessle as a 4.

Tyler Smith was at a prep school when Alford signed him, he was in year 5.

Worley #34...really?
 
Ricky was top 35. Deano was top 125.

As for Worley, I think he gets a bit of a bad rap from Hawk fans...he was a +40% shooter from the arc,and a very good rebounder.
