Just watched their video on Facebook highlighting their new stadium to open in 2026. Wow! The future is bright.

It's going to be real weird in a couple years after the novelty wears of and there's like 37 people in the stands. Ryan field you could yell at people on the opposite side of the field and they'd hear you.

Also...with 35,000 seats when they play Oregon and OSU tickets are going to be $1,000 on stubhub.

Yeah I can't see that all of a sudden make their games a destination of sorts. Northwestern has some deep pockets as far as private schools goes and has an impressive list of alumni support. But they don't have a fan base. They'd fit in better with the east coast lacrosse schools then the BIG for football. They have $ to burn all of it was raised privately so good on them to try this I suppose. But what all else will it be used for? 35k is too small for concerts and such I would think. 8 Saturdays a yr isn't getting a lot of use out of such a thing. Maybe that's just me

I would have kept the old stadium and just tarp more of it than they already do.

NW should be politely shown the door. They do not belong in this conference with respect to major athletics. And, sorry, that is what is driving the boat these days. Their shiny new Texas High School Stadium just proved this very point.
