will he be handed the starting job...just because he's JBo? What about his lack of defense? How'd Joe T. do in his stead?
That’s a good point. The Joe T we had this year would sometimes have two turnovers in the first three minutes of the game. Clearly we don’t want that.To some degree I think it depends on how much JoeT improves his game over the summer. He needs to cut down on his TO's and improve his outside shot, although it was looking pretty good down the stretch. I trust both of these players to not make it an issue no matter who starts.
I guess IMO opinion who starts is irrelevant. I'm more concerned with who's put into the role of closers responsible for being the 5 guys leaned on to finish tight games.
Nunge is your 4 if he's completely recovered. That will allow Wiescamp to guard threes and not wear down as much getting beat on by fours. If he is healthy, yes he will be handed the starting PG job back. Or at least a starting position. He is one of the deadliest 3 point shooters in the country and an All-Conference caliber player. He is also clutch. He also makes his FTs. Yes his defense is not great, but we are Iowa, not Wisconsin. We gonna score 85 a game next year.
Not even sure I understand the premise here.
I think the only really open question, maybe, is who plays the 4. I vote that Connor keeps the job, but at least there is room for discussion there.
We could blow them out by a lot more than twenty this winter.
