West Virginia blowing the doors off of the Clowns!

Absolutely incredible, they should rename Cyclone Fanatic the Iowa State home for the totally insane. Bringbackmagic is willing to bet his life that ISU wins the national championship in the next ten years. So, who's going to his funeral.
LMAO! I'll send a nice bouquet.

I didn't see his leg recoil and give a motion like a kick. He has his leg out and the momentum of coming down just so happened to hit the WV player in the chest IMO.
Yes, that's why the WV player flew 8-10 feet in the opposite direction lol. You can't be serious, can you?

I re watched it and now I think your right, he came down and THEN put his leg up into the chest of the WV player.

You can't just blow that off as "one of those nights" if you're Iowa State. You just got **** pounded by a team that is on the wrong side of the bubble. Not Duke, not KU, not Kentucky, but WEST VIRGINIA. That's a huge red flag.

This was all because Kane was being booed. That darn student section needs to show some class and sportsmanship.

Editorial: The changing world of sportsmanship - Iowa State Daily: Opinion
lol. Iowa State paper calling out the West Virginia paper for doing the same thing that the Clown fanatics do for every game. Kane and Hogue play like thugs in every game. In the West Virginia game I think the refs got things right with a flagrant 1 for Houge and a flagrant 2 for Harris. That being said, anybody that thinks Hogue's kick to the chest was an accident has been sitting at a bar for breakfast every day for the last 10 years. I don't like to see our rpi drop but at this point in the season this game won't matter for the rpi. I feel sorry for the clones players and fans but as far as the cyfans go I say suck on it. Goodbye Rashad Vaughn.

Don't forget this.

Sweep the leg. Always.

This is the biggest difference between the two fan bases and the two message boards. Even when Iowa State gets the living crap kicked out of them in Morgantown by an unranked team you don't see people over here calling them a bad team. Why? Because most of us have the rationality to understand that playing at an elite level consistently is a very hard thing to do in college basketball. Especially in the toughest conferences. The losses aren't as bad as they seem, and usually the wins aren't as good as they seem. The best teams end up being the ones who can bring their A game night in and night out.

Like I said, there is a lot more perspective over here. I understand that there are some posters on CyFan who do a decent job of keeping things real, but there is a lot of them who are just plain idiotic. There's no other way to describe it. They call Iowa a mediocre team. The Big Ten is a bad conference. No one on the Hawks roster would start for them. Fran is a bad coach. Aaron White has no talent. Paul Rhoads is slowly turning them into a dynasty. I mean it is just complete delusion.

I really don't understand it. These are people whom we live and work with, and for the most part they seem like normal Iowans. They just completely lack an ability to see things clearly when it comes to Cyclone athletics. Maybe it's a coping thing. Maybe it is what happens to a fan base that has grown so accustomed to rooting for a team that is almost always an afterthought.
I don't think they can't see clearly I think they just refuse to think clearly. They would rather sit around jerking each other off than deal with reality. They are a psychiatrists dream job.

I was in Iowa City tonight for my best friend's going away party and just got back to DSM and saw the score for the first time. All I can really muster is, "What the **** happened?"

Total beat down. Does happen. I had this game and @ksu chalked up as losses prior to this one... However I never saw this one coming. Didn't see the flagrant because if turned it off by then.

They just can't let this one turn in to more losses... Tough one to be sure. Both teams started incredibly hot and wvu was making 3's, Iowa State hit 14 points and stayed there for a really long time. Ball wasn't moving around, just horrible basketball.

Losses happen in college BB, and I wouldn't have been shocked if ISU lost this game. I was shocked how this game played out. Sure WVU was hot, but ISU continued to give WVU wide open looks from the outside, and WVU never stopped hitting them. This is easily the worst defensive effort I have see out of ISU this year. It almost looked like ISU didn't even want to be there.

It's a problem perpetuated by the Moderators on that message board. When all you allow is one view point to be shared by the posters on your board, delusion sets in quickly. Its always sunny in ClownFan land and let no dissenting voice be heard.

I think the best way to put it is they have a severe inferiority complex in the ISU fanbase. I think what bothers me the most is Pollard and Rhoads plays to that base with billboards, peep talk videos, shots about Jan bowl games, petulant press conference scolding ND, Iowa and the media. JD put it well when he said those two play to the lowest common denominators, and the fan base just laps it all up like little puppy dogs. Most people would have the common sense to be extremely embarrassed by these two, but they have such an inferiority complex, instead of being ashamed of them, they relate to those words, as they make them feel just slightly better about ISU.

If I was a clown fan I would have a melt down as well. That was a pathetic performance last night that looked horrible on the national level especially after Ejim layed an egg after making headlines with his performance on Saturday. Tough day to be a clown fan right now.

Not true at all. There are several who differ from the rest. If you are talking about an Iowa fan going over there to troll, then yeah...sure, its not tolerated. But if differing opinion wasnt tolerated, then guys like clonedude would have been long gone.

You bring up a lot of good and true points. I go to CyFan because I pull for ISU when not playing Iowa, but some of the comments are unbelievable. Nearly every topic turns into some kind of hawk bash. There are some idiotic Hawk fans but the Clone fans take it to a whole new level.
