Owen Freeman OUT for remainder of the season!!!!

Yes you are. So why wouldn't he too? You literally tried telling him to stop talking about it without 'sources' I don't see why he'd need sources to state the obvious like he did.

Trent Condon was talking about Freeman rumors just the day before on his show. Pointing to how Freeman on his Instagram page recently added his agents info on it when it hadn't been prior. Why would he do that the day before he announces he's having surgery and being done for the rest of the year?

You can wish that their weren't rumors about Freeman swirling around. You can have your head in the sand about it if you want. But that doesn't mean rumors aren't out there. Until/unless Freeman comes out and says he's not going anywhere else those rumors are only going to continue. We have a long time till next season obviously
 
There have been rumors of Josh Dix to Creighton for over a year. Iowa held that off this season, but I still think those rumors are/were true. A message board is a great place to discuss rumors, there are 20 of us on here, if we can't have these discussions here, then where? They are being had on much larger platforms like Twitter and Facebook, I think it's safe to speculate and discuss rumors on a rundown website that you have to do the hokey pokey and turn yourself around to even get to work half the time.

Why wouldn't Freeman be considering other options? Many in the fanbase want his coach fired, and it certainly would not shock anyone if he was fired or stepped down. At that point, who knows what might happen, but if I were him I would want to know what options I had outside of Iowa. My personal belief is that Freeman hasn't made any decisions or even have a lean whether to stay or go. Its too early and a lot can happen in the next few months. Let things play out, see your options, and then decide what is best for you.
 
Fran is going to tell his players to go out and get the best deal they can for themselves, regardless of school. Because they should, that's what Fran did, that's what all of us do.

Yeah it's what he said to Tony Perkins pretty much.. Their was no sanctimonious pushback from Fran when he left. Coaches want kids that want to be there. It's why KF didn't shed any tears over Proctor leaving either. If ya aren't all in then you're all out. Not all coaches are like ours but I like how ours have handled NIL.

And look, coaches know Proctor was good, but KF also doesn't give a shit about his stars and rankings. I am sure KF knew he had a bunch of guys he can coach up, and as you said, he needs to focus on who is in the boat, not who is jumping off. Just the nature of it these days. You can't spend time being butt hurt over a 20-year old kid going elsewhere. Find his replacement and move on.

If he's unhappy he absolutely should. He's got options and I'd be surprised if he hasn't been tampered with already. Like you said he's got nothing but time till next season to think and think and think some more.

Freeman turned down other schools that were willing to give him more money than what he was currently getting at Iowa. So if he is reassessing things…I get it.

Harding is his ride or die…wonder if they are a package deal.
