40 bowls, 80 teams. Making a bowl ain't what it was 30 years ago. It doesn't even require a winning record. Last year 9 B1G teams went to bowls. You don't even have to finish in the top half of the conference. The only way you don't make a bowl in a major conference is to have a garbage season.

I don't think it has much to do with strength, I think it has more to do with ability and football knowledge.
Hopefully we have some young guys who are preparing to step up.
But we have had a new ol coach for awhile and if it's not greatly improved next year, I think it's time to find a different ol coach.
KF needs to give BF a Christmas gift of paying for him to go to clinics and hire a constant for him to learn from.
KF himself needs to listen to himself. "We need bigger plays" but if you don't try them, you are not going to get them.

Iowa is currently ranked # 20 right? So, nah, not that upset over our coach. I had a 4 loss expectation coming into the year. Nothing that has happened shocked me. I am disappointed, but football games are hard to win. We play in a competitive division that has 3 teams ranked in the top 25. We didn't have the schedule this season to be much better then we are. I don't hate KF at all. I wish he'd win more. If shit goes down hill and we go like 6-6 or even 7-5..... I might hate on him a bit. Plenty of time for that and I am guessing if that does happen, maybe he's done and we'll all get to see what's next.

No one will be happy with a 6 win season. Not even Ferentz and son.

Minnesota is our last chance to beat a highly ranked team. This Iowa team needs to win this game for its fans and for its seniors. Plus, it is for Floyd of rosedale. Come on Hawks, get your stuff together and play your best game of the year.

Seniors yes. Fans no. The team is playing hard and don't owe the fans anything. They need to play for themselves as they are much more invested then we are. Win or lose if they put up a good performance the fans will support them, but they (as players) owe us nothing. The coaching staff and athletic department however is a different story.
