We can stop with the KF hate

No shit...Snowflakes. Disagreement and/or criticism = hate. How dare you don't love everything about me (them/him/it) without question. WAAAAAAA, you're a HATER.

I don't recall seeing anybody here say they "hate" Ferentz. Quite the opposite, he's recognized as a standup guy and fine man. His coaching leaves something to be desired...especially the tired, predictable patterns so many have grown tired of (and our rivals snicker at).

If you want puppies and sunshine 24/7 the real world ain't for you, and coaching college football sure as hell isn't.

What I'm saying is KF is more of a general manager. In the end it's his responsibility, but what we are seeing is coaching and or talent. The end.
We at little ole Iowa have been recruiting and coaching very good defenses for a long time. So don't give me it can't be done.
It's up to KF to fix it, but it's like the defense says after a turn over, we didn't start the fire but it's up to us to put it out. KF needs to realize that he needs help with the offense. Maybe that is giving his offensive coaches the tools they need. Outside specialist. Clinics. Whatever it takes to have an offense that is as productive as our defense. Then you can start talking national championships.

So 4 years of 8-4

Hell get there
That is only is .588% 7 seasons of 8-4 puts him over the .600% and #2 in Big10 coaches all time

Paterno is 4 wins away at #4
He’s 36 wins away from Schembechler
And 47 wins away from Woody Hayes.

I have a question . If we finish 6-6 are we guaranteed a bowl game? I remember one of Ferentz teams getting to six wins and getting snubbed

November 17, 2007. Senior Day. Kinnick Stadium. Iowa was sitting at a healthy 6-5 after winding up a hefty 4-4 conference slate that included a drubbing by Indiana. 'Twas a cold day, but not unbearably cold for Iowa in mid November. All we needed to do was put away a directional MAC school and we would be bound for some elite, high stakes bowl game. No problem.

We lost 28-19. But that was no big deal. The PA announcer just had to tweak Kurt's stats to say "x consecutive years of bowl eligibility" rather than "x straight bowl appearances."

So you could be the all time winning-est coach in the Big Ten and not be eligible for the HOF? Wow, that's a record that will stand the test of time. Only at Iowa, where ok, is ok, terminally.

He'll be in the HOF

It's kinda fitting. Once upon a time when hall of fames were in their infancy you had to be really special to get into a hall of fame (thousands of them covering every endeavor today) . . . but in 21st century USA, Andy Warhol's prediction has come true. HOFs have really been watered down as our societal standards keep dropping to record lows with each passing year. The woman in the link was invited to the white house. Youtube HOF. Rumor is she and cousin-breeder are dating. Birds of a feather . . .

Iowa is guaranteed a bowl game with 6 wins.
Well that takes the pressure off, time for Brian & Kirk to innovate, go for it, or what is left of it. Stanley can relax as well, improvise, move in the pocket. Get rid of the Nate Statue of Liberty Plan.

Knock off an unbeaten Gopher team perhaps, only down side to that is it opens a door for Wisconsin. Conflicted in that one.

Iowa is guaranteed a bowl game with 6 wins.

9 wins will feel empty, but I'd ultimately feel ok with it, and pretty solid with a bowl win and 10-3. Still a "what if" feel

8 wins would be disappointing, a bowl win would take it to "disappointing but I'll accept it"

7 wins would be very deflating, even a bowl win would feel Meh

6 wins is a travesty and someone should get fired, really wouldn't even care about bowl win.

Let's get 9 and a good bowl win and top 20 finish...

IA football under KF has amazing qualities. Consistent. Good, with some greatness sprinkled in. Doing things the right way. Easily the best school at DEVELOPING talent (taking zero-star guys and making them pros by end of Soph year).
The frustration is it seems we all can see we CAN be better (win-wise). Horrible game planning. We are the EASIEST team to prepare for and know what’s coming, if not the most boring. Jamming the ball into a 9-man front on the short-side of the field comes to mind.
I feel like with the talent we put out, we should squeeze out an extra victory or two each year.

Don't let it bug you too much....OSU will whip either one.

One would think that Kirk would look at his loses and realize that his offensive philosophy has cost him wins along the way. But no one is forcing him to change anything about his approach to games, especially tougher opponents; not the AD and certainly not the donors.

Biggest Hurdle....if you make a decision to change, you are admitting that what you were doing wasn't working...pride is very powerful, seldom comes with self-awareness, genuineness or transparency. It is tough to win in this league. Need to clean a few things up. Get a break.

WE CAN STOP WITH THE KF HATE

We could stop, but its the only entertaining thing about Iowa football!

If Iowa loses to Minnesota, Illinois, and Nebraska, heads will roll, but none of the coaches, just the heads of fans on Hawkeye boards.

6-6 will lead to a lot of splainin about bad luck, that's football, we played hard, going to a bowl, proud of the players and coaches.

Are you seriously talking shit on Glozell? Just stop, dude. Do you not remember her cinnamon challenge video? This video is funnier than anything Hollyweird has cranked out in at least 10 years.
