Well first for of all Mike was a 4 year starter for Iowa and he was incredibly healthy for most of those 4 years so that's a huge part of the reason he made it to 1000 points. He averaged 8, 7, 7, and 8 ppg in his 4 years as a starter. That's not difficult to top at all for a guy getting the kind of minutes Mike was getting. He couldn't finish at the rim. He struggled mightily with the 3 ball. He couldn't hit free throws to save his life. He had a decent jumpshot when he got into a rhythm. That was it. He averaged a couple jump shots and a few made free throws per game. That's it.
I'm not saying CW or Bohannon will break Mike's 1072 points over his career because he played a ton of minutes. However, I have zero problem predicting they'll both average more points per game than him. They are just better scorers. Each one of them in a little bit different fashion.
