Urban only get's 3 game suspension, Geesshh!

Good god.

I don't even have anything smart ass for that. There's a point where things get to stupid for sarcasm.

Im stupid? Read your rambling, error-filled reply and use spell check and a spotter. Good lord. Nice try though. You are a complete mental moron. I said i dont agree with his actions but i dont agree that he is the actual perpetrator here. Zach Smith is the criminal. Every crying sally democrat here that twists and turns the feel sorry for yourself argument ignores the obvious. Prosecute the perpetrator. Why create more?

Everyone wants to blame everyone else. One man commited a crime. Its easy...very easy to sit from a far, sheltered chair and say i would have done this this or that. You arent Urban Meyer and you didnt have the same pressure, stress and or worries of being faced with something that was none of your doing and it involves violence and also his ability to do his job. I HOPE that i would have the courage to turn the abuser in and get involved in the middle of a violent criminal and his wife. My reward. Possible retaliation. Violence. My family attacked or killed by a crazy violent person. Yea, easy decision.

I dont want to hear statistics about victims. I understand and dont wish it on anyone. But when it happens to you, you can let things happen and stay on the mat or stand up and fight. Maybe she has fought? How long has she been with him? How long has abuse been going on? You know what? She plays the largest role in how long the abuse continues. Is it hard. HELL yes. Is it easy to get out? HELL no. But blaming Urban Meyer for it isnt the answer.
Don't start with the spell check thing. It'll invariably come back to bite you in the ass. @HawkGold is orders of magnitude smarter than you. Your fake, weak ass @Joshbrown impression isn't fooling anyone.

For someone calling another person out on his/her grammar, you sure do fucking suck at English. Have you ever heard of an apostrophe? You folks out there might want to click on "expand" to see the full extent...

Are you used to embarrassing yourself?

Super job of staying vague and avoiding an intelligent response.

I should stop using my phone per another post. You need to just stop victim blaming. Its pretty much out that UM protected him. Abusers most always have an enabler and it was UM. Our culture is beginning to not put up with abuse. Even OSUs response is a step towards that.

Regardless of what seems to be logic, you either have you own issue with dolling out or being the victim of abuse or just having no clue. UM had responsibility. Abuse happens because people can't escape.

As much as I hate this, OSU might make more changes in keeping UM than hiring the next egomaniac coach who hasn't been humiliated publicly yet. The next coach will be another hot hire with a huge ego.

No way Urban does this again. I hate that he gets another chance, but overall things might be better.

Don't forget there is a beloved U in Iowa that also is really into nepotism, which is what this is really all about.
What about OSU's WR coach? His son in law. It's everywhere but many of you KF antagonists refuse to see it elsewhere when it fits your agenda.

Only one perp here....its not urban meyer. One person beat his wife. One woman chose not to go to police. You never abuse a human being, woman, child or man...but if you dont stand up for yourself dont blame others. Urban Meyer is not a cop or an employer . Is everyone else in her life that knew about it in trouble at their job? This is my opinion. Dont like the guy but dont villainize him. With all of the resources available to her, hes the bad guy? I support women, hell im owned by one. Lol But i hate to see this. So he's a real sob for not reporting it. She's an adult.
He had a coach and smith's mother drive to Florida to beg her not to press charges. Said it would hurt her and the kids in the long run if he was not employed.

Get a life. Darwinism. If you dont have the courage to say something, you do indeed become a victim. Your choice to use the word victim is exactly accurate. For every #metoo advocate, you go girl! Support 100%!!!. But to blame everyone else when you dont have the courage to come forward? The act is wrong but why blame others when she didnt come forward herself. Don't get it twisted. I dont care if he was a murderer, she had a choice every day of her life to get help. Yes, she was scared. But people who survive, get over the fear. Its wrong, but blaming others doesnt save you. Doing something about it does. You are the worst thing for the cure to this problem. You call me out for blaming a victim. No, I support her human right for justice and to speak out. Why does ANYONE have to help her that doesnt want to or isnt obligated to help? She wouldnt help herself. Coddling victims and telling them its ok, we understand, youre a victim does not help stop the cycle of abuse. It enables women to continue to be victims. The anger here should be focused on her husband who abused, not bystanders who chose not to blow the whistle. Dont get on a bandwagon that has no horse. Its old. Its tired. The only way to be heard is to make noise and to fight the real enemy, the abuser.
You got labeled by more than one poster correctly so you don't like it. To bad it's what you are.

Makes him a perp? You said he begged her? Who's in charge of that situation. Bottom line is it makes him an @hole, not a criminal. For all of the whining that people on this board do about KF and his lack of a killer instinct im guessing most would take UM and some controversy in a heartbeat if it meant wins and playoff appearances. Tell me im wrong.

Too bad you should proofread or learn how to spell. Its what I am? So a couple of posters labeled me? Oh my gosh! Noooooooooooooooooooo! Whatever shall i do? Lol i stand by my thoughts. My point is valid. Lets stop blaming a guy who abused no one and focus on bringing the actual abuser to justice. We live in the big world kids. Bad things happen. Childish Gambino...This is America. Same thing is going on. We are making all of this noise with Urban Meyer while an abuser takes a front seat to the show. Put the spotlight on the abuser.

You are wrong. In this post. Probably in life in general.

Victim blaming? I have? I have stated very clearly that she will continue to be a victim if she continues to allow abuse to happen. There is no victim blaming. Its wrong. She shouldnt have to put up with abuse. Bottom line is, it stops when the victim says no. Are you telling me the only support staff that she could find is the OSU football staff. At some point a victim either accepts that nothing can be done and lives with it or fights back. Shes fighting back. Good for her. UM still isnt the abuser.

At least i can read. Which part makes me wrong?
1. Zach Smith is an abuser.
2. Urban Meyer does not have to save the world.
3. Urban Meyer should have done the right thing.

I assume you disagree with point #2. Its your right. Why are you then sitting on your behind and not out canvassing your neighborhood feeding the hungry, counseling the abused, and fighting for truth justice and the American way? Its so easy to say what YOU would do until you have to make the tough decisions. He didnt abuse anyone. He was forced to deal with it. He dealt with it poorly. He was wrong. He's not the abuser. We are talking about this because one man, Zach Smith, is a criminal.

For all of you apologist, pitch fork carrying, 1950's McCarthy era, witch hunting nancy boys who want to cry about social injustice......did any of you alert the authorities or counsel Urban Meyer when the Hawkeyes abused him in Kinnick last year. Maybe you need to look in the mirror and feel bad. Nah.

You know when you've shut them down when they pull out the spell check. Between replying on a cell phone, fighting auto correct and a big finger that hits two letters.

Yes. Like he said you are to stupid to know you are stupid. Now I know you are a waste of my (and others) time.

Abuse happens because the world is full of terrible people. Abuse stops when the victim does what needs to be done. Look, this board has hundreds of people that would have helped her right? Hundereds of strangers willing to help her. So she couldnt fund anyone to help her over many years? The OSU community was her only hope? No. I wont accept it. This board is blowing up with people who would have stepped in and helped her in a heartbeat. Logic would say that in her personal life, counselors, law enforcement, friends, family, support groups, legislators, advocacy groups, internet chat groups...there is zero reason to believe that UM's failures to be a decent human being kept her from ending this abuse. Please. He's a class A jerk. We all agree. But we cant sit back and blame.

Educate victims on resources. In any abusive relationship there are choices that are made by the victim that are emotional, heart-wrenching and difficult. Blaming one part of the process is not going to change the outcome of future abuse cases. We can all agree that he's a jerk. I cant agree with legal or job threatening actions against a person for being a jerk.
