They didn't need guns to get into the building and trespass. They needed guns to overthrow the government tho.
Also they outnumbered the police because Trumps request for more troops was denied. Why it was denied can be debated (not sure how), but they were denied.
That's true. I notice a big difference when I switch back and forth.
A recent case in point for my X feed is the new Columbia drama. For every tweet I see saying Trump is a negotiating genius, I see one that says he's an idiot and is going to raise coffee prices ten fold. Just when I think one side won the negotiating battle, I see something that makes me think maybe the other side won. It's almost comical for one. But for two, it's evidence on how balanced my feed is. That's not to say other people's feeds are equally balanced tho.

Some people might believe this news is from a sitting member of congress. But Fry will tell you this news is directly from Elon Musk since the video of the conversation came from X.
It talks about the January 6th pipe bomb, who found it, and how it directly affected people getting into the capitol. This isn't some "I got you" video. It's just interesting information that I hadn't heard about yet.
For those who won't watch. A capitol officer is the one who found the bomb. Also the timing of the finding prevented the bringing in of more bicycle racks that were being used as barriers. Again, it's not a gotcha because it doesn't prove anything of relevance. I just found both of those facts interesting. Especially the connection of the bombs and how their findings helped change the course of the day.
All of the traitorous patriots were there because Trump invited them. The takeover or sedition was a plan to stop the counting of votes so Trump could bring in his assemblage of fake electors and remain in power no matter how the voters chose. Anti democracy cheating and planning to overthrow the will of the voters. It’s Trumps schtick, cheating in everything he does in this world. Long history of it. He’s the worst of us. He’s our leader and if all of that planning and violence to leave after his first term makes you feel comfortable about our democracy you are delusional. He’s fired many and will fire more to put in unprincipled men in positions that require principle. He will be much worse this time, he’s learned from the first go around
We know it was one of two things. It was either an attempt to overthrow the government or it was a protest that turned into a riot. I just can't comprehend how some people still think it was the former. Especially after how conditioned we were to just accept the fact that protests turn into riots all summer that year. Can someone break down a likely chain of possible events that could have taken that day from a bunch of people taking over the capitol to Trump remaining in power? I've never seen anyone even attempt to make that argument before.

If they had congresspeople and Pence (literally "the government") held hostage which was their goal, they in effect would have overthrown the government. It may or may not not have lasted long, but it would have been a coup. And a failed coup is still treason.
You have never apparently never read Title 18, chapter 115 of the USC, available free on the internet. Oh wait, it's not listed on twitter...
