Tracking 2015 Class Offers

I really hate bashing on recruits, and Iowa has had a good track record with some of these kids. We all want higher talented guys, but I'm not gonna throw the baby out with the bath water cause I'm sick of KF.

He's looking at a place that has all 4 seasons......(Damn, and this winiter season sucks, below 0 temps, icy roads), hope he doesn't check the weather....:p

IC in Sept/Oct is 1000% better than Jan.....but you gotta play the cards you are dealt. As a staff, I'd try to sell him on getting used to playing in the elements. Just tell him when he gets drafted he won't have a chance to pick warm weather and he had better be used to playing in the cold for his NFL career.

Interview with DaiShon Neal. Very brief Iowa mention. I would say we're a longshot. Edit: stupid site won't let me post a link. It's on the frontpage of Nebraska's Rivals site. Say's he's 100% committed to Nebraska but will take January visits to Oklahoma, Oregon, and Iowa. He's gonna do the hat thing on signing day.

Iowa has offered ILB Jake Whalen from Wausau, WI. Other offers include Air Force, Army, and Buffalo.

Impressive list of offers. I'm sure KF and the other 3 powerhouses that offered see something no other program in college football sees.
 
I'm not sure why we have such issues recruiting LB. We just put 2 LB in the NFL last year, and this used to be a very big strength of Iowa's. They are on the field all game long, rarely come off for nickle packages.....I just don't get it. I don't understand how this staff let it get to a point 4 years ago that we had to rely on 3 young LB, and we are in the same spot yet again.

Didn't both LB coaches get awards after the 2013 season, as well?

That's because that's not how recruiting works. They're given areas to recruit, they don't recruit by position. So depending on what talent is in the area in a given year he may not offer out any linebackers.
