Tracking 2012 Class Offers

I really just started paying attention to recruiting in the past couple years but I feel like we've been recruiting very well at the offensive line position the last 2 years. Is that accurate?

I'd say yes, we are getting great guys, Donnal, Scherff, Blythe, the guard from Illinois, his name is escaping me, however we have missed on the big names Cyrus and Seantrel, so we haven't been killing it so to speak.

Technically, I'd say we only missed on Cyrus... KF pulled his offer/visit on Seantrel after he wouldn't put us down as an official visit. I guess I'd say misses are those when we are seriously in the final 2-4 with visits and serious consideration to attend. I get the feeling the Seantrel didn't seriously consider Iowa. Just a thought...

Walsh ... you were thinking of Walsh. And yeah ... I'm really, REALLY pleased with our OL recruiting through the past several years.

Top three so far for Garmon are Illinois, Iowa, and North Carolina (if memory serves). Unfortunately it seems like he really likes Illinois. Given their luck placing Mendenhall and LeShoure in their very recent history .... Zook actually has something worthwhile to sell him. Furthermore, they have Scheelhaase at QB ... and he's a cool enough cat that he'll be able to help them lure in some good skill guys.

According to rivals.com's front page Minnesota commit, WR Andre McDonald, will visit Iowa. Be nice to get him and Golden.

Minnesota soft verbal Andre McDonald is making a visit soon to Iowa City. Iowa was in on him early, hopefully that gives us some advantage over O$U.
