Iowa went 6-1 at home in 2011. If you are one of those people who can't find joy in a 6-1 home slate because you're too busy complaining about the coaching, then you should probably stay home. Good luck with whatever choice you make in the Spring.
If you thoroughly enjoyed the 2011 season then you're an idiot.
I wonder how many Michigan fans who dumped their season tickets during their "down years" are rejoicing in that decision now? Hmmmmmmmmmm
That's....not even close to what he said.
If schools like Nebraska (Bill Callahan), Michigan (Rich Rod), and Notre Dame (Ty Willingham, Charlie Weis) can make wrong hires and drive the football program into the ground, Iowa sure as hell can.
For those of you constantly harping and complaining, name Iowa's next head coach, and explain why he would be successful.
Hmm, what do all of those guys have in common? Oh yeah, the fans realized the level of suckitude and they were fired. For those who did get to 9 or 10 wins, no fans said "Derp, well Charlie Weis won 9 games in 2005 and 10 games in 2006 so we better just keep him around." Hy-Vee Hokks would be ecstatic if Iowa could get back to the level of Weis in his final year (6-6), Willingham in his final year (6-5) or RichRod in his final year (7-6). And Callahan went 9-5 in his penultimate year, if Kurt did that he would get a 5 year extension.
I have no confidence that KF can get to a bowl game again.

Welcome to the minority on this board. Once you realize that most hawk fans still think kf can get them to a big bowl game again, it all makes sense and you can stop beating your head against the wall for an answer as to why he feels no heat. It took me while to get to this point.
Yes, read all my posts. I'm realist, not a positive or negative guy. I don't fall for the foolish mantra of "be positive no matter what is happening". Realism can be positive or negative. And I prefer good and bad to that positive/negative new age crap. You missed the joke, and do you ever have anything positive to say?

I've read enough of your posts to see that most of what you write is negative/pessimistic. I'm just as upset about the state of the program as anyone else is, but I saw enough good things on Saturday that I haven't given up on the year yet.
Again, read all my posts. I said at least several times that the offense showed improvement. I even think G. Davis showed improvement in being aggressive. However, he was very stupid when you NEED a first down, it's 3rd qtr, you got the lead, and you also have a 40 pound per man advantage (OL vs their DL), you got a hundred yard rusher, their D is tired, and you call a deep pass when you are not going to go for it on 4th down. Come on, man!! I would think you and I agree on more things than we disagree on.

that's not what he said. he said "i have no confidence that KF can get to a bowl game again". not a big bowl, he said any bowl. i think even you agree that that is a ridiculous statement
