as for Matt Thomas, I don't see him going anywhere, he will have 3 years into the system before Cooke sees the court. once he can sustain some confidence in his shot, Fred won't be able to keep him off the court

I think team chemistry holds kids in a program. Looks to me that Thomas is having fun with that team. He may not get the minutes he dreamed of when he was Mr. Basketball or whatever he was, but I assume he loves playing in that system. You think it is fun going from a starter, to the bench, and then to playing 10 MPG??? I'd much rather get ripped a new one than have my playing time ripped away from me.

Just because you are a Clown fan doesn't mean that all the kids are enjoying "the system" of Fred's.....I mean how many kids have transferred out of Fred's program in 4 1/3 years now? What is the number 10, 11, 12 now? Lots of kids aren't having fun in Fred's system, and they leave.

Yeah, you are an idiot. JS got the majority of his open looks through ball screens. Other than the occasional 2-man game out on the perimeter in FH's system he would have to shoot over guys because he always have a hand in his face. JS had a quick release, but it wasn't that quick. Other than wide open looks he would struggle in this system. He isn't getting 12-15 shots per game in FH's system.

I said Kane wasn't one, Ejim wasn't one, Niang isn't one, Marble isn't one, and White aren't NBA guys. After Marble got drafted and signed a one year contract, then yeah I rubbed that in the face of Clowns some. I don't think Marble will have any kind of NBA career though, and if he does it would be like a Babb or Garrett....but I will say Marbles has a bit more upside yet as he is still only 21 and has room to maybe develop some more.

I was also tweaking you about Sully. I always kind of liked him. I do think he does better in Eustachy's system than Fred's. Just an opinion on that, but it is what I think.

Let me ask you this: Is JS playing with the ball in his hands or is he playing off the ball hanging out on the perimeter in FH's system? For 1000 Alex, what is hanging out on the perimeter? No one said he couldn't hit an open look those highlights doesn't change my mind that he wouldn't get more than 10-15 mins. in FH's system. Actually, what it showed me was Shane Powers being a better fit.

In FH's system he would be a 2 and a back up one. When he is a 2 he is coming off screens. See, I can do the youtube highlights as well.

So Matt Thomas is trash and is going to transfer according to you and Dean and is averaging more than 15 mins per game this year. Meanwhile Jake Sullivan who is an all time great at iowa state arguably the best shooter we've ever had in recent memory and was a great player according to you wouldn't be able to get more than 10 to 15 minutes? How in the world would unknowns like monte morris and Dustin hogue replace clyburn and babb? Well monte morris has turNed into an ELITE pg. Niang is an ELITE scorer. Davis is EXACTLY the reason I KNOW Coe will struggle. Both big kids, but there is much more to the DL than being big. Davis had an advantage of playing DL all through HS, and then practicing for 3 years now at a D1 school under good DL coaches, and had Doyle in the off season, and yet he still struggled to meet his potential his first 2 years. Hopefully he will break out now, but it isn't guaranteed. Plus Coe has sh1tty offers....only ISU and South Florida. This isn't 2011 dude, he is a 2013 JUCO recruit, all those schools passed on him as a DLman. They all wanted the 2011 Coe, NOT the 2013 Coe.

Give me the guy with the potential. I don't want the guy who's been playing the position his entire life and has been a complete flop 3 years into his college career.

I'm pulling for Iowa as it is great for the state to have two competetive football programs but if you can't recognize the gap has closed drastically and it is a pretty level playing field well...not much I can say there but it has.

I definitely see your point and it is a good one. Not sure if you read Pollard's interview or not but it makes complete sense. He is saying a generational change is taking place. That 20-25 year old doesn't remember the 1-10 seasons for ISU.

"This beast was recruited by every single school in America as an athlete. Army all american. He came to iowa to play RB but Ferentz and Doyle are going to pack 50 pounds on him and turn him into a freak defensive lineman." Fast forward two years and he is trash because he comitted to isu. He put on 60 pounds to play defensive line but if it wasn't under Chris Doyle it must be all fat because Chris Doyle is just a pure GOD the best weight lifting coach on the planet!!!! Iowa football is the Alabama of the Midwest baby! Iowa is a horrid football team don't fool yourself. ISU is slightly worse.
