So which staff member left today?

I see both sides of this. I guess I'm in the camp that doesn't want a kid at Iowa that "regrets" his signing and wishes he were somewhere else.

I think you are missing the point hawkeyefarmer is making. There are not two sides to this if you have early signing or LOI signings without the stupid commitment process.

If a recruit signs the LOI then another team will not offer so the kid will never know if they wanted him because they had never offered him a scholly. Therefore there is not another side to the story.

I bet all the stoops brothers would have wanted to play at OSU or Mich maybe but they sure found a hell of a home at Iowa.

at this late date, there are very few top players left, so its take the best available athlete time and live with it, fortunately they are looking at 3* prospect not 2* or walk ons

That is the difference between now and a few years ago, even in '08 - '09 when Iowa was playing well they didn't have that great of recruiting classes those years and they were missing on a lot of top talent and had to pick up a lot of 2* guys.

They are less than 2 months away from signing day and KF and staff is still in on quite a few 3* guys that are left.

Fair point and theoretically that is how the process should work, however, I'm not convinced it is that "clean of a process.
