Seth Tuttle

On the flip side, Woody has yet to develop much of anything. Huge miss.

And Marble is playing in the NBA. Also, Woodbury was not a miss. Tell me the post player Iowa could have gotten to commit that you would rather have over Woodbury.

UNI has lost at least 14 games in each of the past four years and after a good start against an incredibly easy schedule Jacobson is some kind of coaching genius all of a sudden, who is the best player development and fundamentals coach in the nation. Too funny.

He was putting all of his efforts into developing his players to be good this year. Kidding! Jacobson is a good mid major coach. And he does a good job with mid major players. When someone like Tuttle develops and/or evolves into something special UNI has a big year...for a mid major. Those will tend to be spread out and UNI would be a NW type team year in and year out in the Big 10. IMO

Just to clear some things up, Tuttle was a class of 2011 recruit. That would be the same class as Aaron White and Gabe Olaseni...

Most kids that are good at a mid major weren't "recruiting misses" by power 5 schools. They were late bloomers who just weren't all that good coming out of high school.

This is correct. Mid majors took a chance and got lucky. It's not cause Fran or other D1 schools are dumb.

Or an iowa team for that matter.....

Imagine how good White would be in the Valley where he would be the tallest guy on the court most of the time and didn't have to worry about each team having a physical 6'9"- 6'10" guy in the middle.

And you're just plain WRONG.

It was a recruiting MISS, now playing out right in front of your
EYES and yet you still cannot see it.

Seth Tuttle is a Greg Brunner like player that IOWA could have signed.
Instead, they went for JOKE projects like the kid from Georgia, who couldn't
have played at St Ambrose.

Seth Tuttle would be a HUGE difference maker on Iowa's team, playing with
White, Uthoff, etc.

He is "Greg Brunner like" in size only. Seth Tuttle was unranked (no stars) on 247Sports. He had offers from UNI, Colorado State and Northern Colorado.

Greg Bruner was the #50 player in the nation as a high school senior. He had offers from a number of Power 5 conference schools.

Jealousy is too funny. Here is a sample of the last 5 years of UNI's weak schedule pre season schedule: VCU, Maryland, Louisville, Stanford, Memphis, Indiana. Here is a sample of iowa's: Longwood, Brown, Campbell, UT Pan American, Omaha. During the last four seasons that you mentioned UNI had 58 losses, iowa had 63 losses. If you want to take that back 5 years UNI had 63 losses and Iowa had 85 losses.

You should change your name to Don Quixote. Message me if you don't know who that is dawg.

Riddle me this: Did Brunner ever get National Player of the Week? Ever?

I give credit to Jacobson and his staff for player development. Tuttle struggled his first two years, but has really improved in all areas of his game in his last 2 years.
Exactly, and the last thing Iowa should be aiming for is bringing in guys who struggle in the mvc for two years when we had to face off against the best conference in the country those two years.Iowa can't purposely take chances like that on hopping players develop.

And Fran was supposed to win in the big ten with those guys? Lmao

It really doesn't matter one da** bit 'how good they were coming out of high school'.
What the heck does that matter?

IOWA could have projected that Seth Tuttle was a Greg Brunner, like STUDhorse
But, they didn't. They thought other players would be better, by now.

And they made some horrible choices, like NOT offering Tuttle, but offering the
project from Georgia, who couldn't walk and chew gum

Same is going to be said about Morgan and Lohaus, before their college careers are
done. Sad but true

Do you mean Kyle Meyer? That project from Georgia? The guy who was a 2 or 3 star recruit (depending upon the recruiting service) coming out of high school? (Whereas Seth Tuttle was not rated by ANY recruiting service.)

Meyer has started every game for #7 Eastern Florida State JC (22-3) and leads the team averaging 14 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks a game. Seems he can do a lot more than "walk and chew gum".

And please get over the comparison between Tuttle and Brunner. Brunner was the #50 player in the nation coming out of high school; Tuttle did not even get a 2 star rating.

Are you an astronomer? Let me give you a comparison. Woodbury had four stars coming out of high school. Three years in to his career he averages 5 points and 3 rebounds per game. CAREER. I think that proves what those stars are worth. 5 POINTS and 3 REBOUNDS for his CAREER!!

Using your cherry picking schedule formula here's a sample of the last 5 years of Iowa's conference schedule: Michigan State, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Minnesota. Here is a sample of uni's: Drake, Bradley, Southern Illinois, Missouri State, Loyola, Indiana State. Food for thought.

The original comment was about pre season schedule. UNI can't control who is in their conference but they can certainly control who they play before conference starts.

Nice try.

Fairfax is funny, but he not very smart.....UNI usually plays a cupcake schedule.

SOS:

2014-2015 (so far) Iowa 11 UNI 126
2013-2014 Iowa 44 UNI 86
2012-2013 Iowa 129 UNI 166

Just Seth? How about Nate Buss, Matt Bohannon, Wes Washpun, and it goes on and on. Schools like iowa don't believe these kids can play. It was proven today they can.
How about you go back to cyfan instead hanging out here looking for a pat on the back.

Riddle me this: Did you ever not suck as a poster. Anybody can pick and choose a few games and fail trying to make a point. Put UNI in the Big 10 and they'd be a doormat. UNI plays one tough team in your conference.
