Seth Davis thinks Iowa has to win the BTT to get in

OSU won in their building, as did Wisconsin. Indiana also lost at Minnesota and Illinois.

OSU is a Top 10 team and Wisky probably played their best game of the year. Neither of them are terrible losses.

And road losses to tourney teams in the B1G are going to happen.

The worst loss of their 5 this year is probably home to Wisky by a few points or Butler on a neutral court by 1 in OT. Who else can compare their worst loss to that?

If you arent impressed by the season Indiana had in the B1G then you probably arent impressed by any team this year. Duke has looked great with Kelly but they got curb stomped by almost 30 at Miami. I dont care if they were missing Kelly, they shouldnt have lost by 30.

This year's Indiana team is better than last year's Indiana team. Last year's team made it to the Sweet 16 and lost to the National Champions. They likely have 3 guys good enough to get drafted this year. They have played in the toughest conference in the country. I'm taking them to go a long way...if not all the way.

I was merely pointing out that Ohio State won at Indiana, not that I think they (Indiana) are a **** team.

Duke, Louisville, Miami .. ..

I'm not saying I don't think Indiana is a Top 10 team. Just that I have not been impressed with them. Maybe it's the entire basketball season. I just haven't been that impressed with anybody, with the possible exception of Duke (w/Kelly). But even they have fallen flat a couple of times.

My selections will depend on how the brackets fall and what the potential matchups will be.

GO HAWKS!!!

Sport, Miami lost to Florida Gulf Coast. Yes, Florida Gulf Coast.

And?

Western Kentucky is one as well, heck a 15-20 Liberty made the tournament. It would be an embarrassment to lose to either of those schools.

top 100 RPI

Since I have seem numerous posts talking about record against top 100 RPI for Iowa in comparison to other teams, I figured you might need some extra emphasis.

So, Belmont has an RPI of 20 even though their best win is against Middle Tennessee, another team with a flawed RPI. RPI is a joke!

I'm not arguing for those teams, my response was in defense of Miami in their loss to FGC. There are a lot worse losses than that.

Florida Gulf Coast is a tourney team and top 100 RPI.

Yup..They are a tourney team..
Top 100 RPI.

With losses to East Tennessee State, Lipscomb twice, Mercer, Stetson and Maine. Quite a tourney resume' there.

They are the poster child for how a crap team can build a good rpi. They have one good win (Miami) and some losses to other good teams (ISU, Duke, Va. Commonwealth)

They got an auto bid, who cares if they have crappy losses. In Miami's case, it does not hurt them. I'm not sure what you think I am trying to argue, but all I'm said was that Miami losing to FGC is not viewed as a bad loss.

Liberty is a tourney team at 15-20. Would losing to them be considered a bad loss?

I still think the ACC champion losing to a team that has losses like Fla. Gulf Coast has should be viewed as a bad loss.

Liberty is RPI 288, I'll let you figure it out from there...

Sorry blub, the clown is right. FGC is ranked 94, Liberty is 289. They aren't comparable. The answer is yes, that would be a most horrible loss. The same can't be said about FGC.

For enjoyment, you should look at Liberty's RPI resume. They have played 4 games against the top 150 (lost all 4).

I would prefer if you called me the Clowns, I am plural after all.

It was a response to him when he said FGC was a tournament team, he brought up the RPI later. The point was just because a team is a tournament team does not make beating or losing to them any more impressive. That would be like us bragging about beating WKU just because they are a tournament team.
