Rudock is Gone

no, rudock was 6'3 195lbs coming into iowa, he played at st. thomas a powerhouse football school, cj was only 6'2 and 190lbs and he didnt play at as good of high school, you do the math
When JR throws a pass into the flat the ball rotates 7.68 times, when CJB throws the same pass it only rotates 7.56 times. That means that Jake must have the stronger arm. You can't argue math and science.

Can't say I blame Jake at all. Kirk coming out to name CJ the starter after the season ended was completely ridiculous ... especially when you have been telling us Jake is your man for the past 2 seasons. Don't blame Jake for wanting to see if he can start at another school.

The process of how everything is handled/communicated at Iowa leaves a lot to be desired. Kirk's snarky comments throughout the season; vanilla resposes; impromtu post season press conference "just to chat" ... In January, naming CJ your "starter" for next season ... So for two seasons we were told Jake is Kirk's man ... but they are happy with the work of CJ as well ... It's not like CJ "won" the job from Jake ... So to name him starter in January was just flat out odd.

Kudos to Jake for doing what he wants to do. He will succeed well in life outside of football... As for CJ ... how soon before we call for his head and clamor for Wiegers to be the starter?

After that Bradford for Foles trade, franchise quarterbacks are changing teams like its nobody's business.

Who/what did we get in the trade? A punter to be named later? Or is this a completion of an earlier trade? I'll bet Kurt is a helluva negotiator.

Kurt felt we didn't need anymore talent so he negotiated a year's supply of gum, note pads, and 3 pairs for pleated khakis.

Harbaugh better hope he didn't **** off Kurt with this move. Kurt's going to put in a full 40 hour week next time we play Michigan, he might even put in an actual gameplan that week. This ain't the NFC West anymore Jim, this is real football.

Ferentz gave Jake every opportunity to win the job outright but Jake didn't do it. I don’t think it was a talent issue, I think it was a confidence and scheme issue. I hope he does well.

Can't blame him at all for transferring. I appreciate his contributions to the Iowa program. He always gave us his best effort.

With that said I can't imagine he has a better chance of starting at Michigan. If he thought Iowa fans were impatient just wait until Michigan doesn't win a national championship their first season under Jim Harbaugh. I know several Michigan fans and they honestly think they are national championship contenders. If Rudock does start and Michigan loses a couple games early their fans will want to string him up.

With what the Wolverines have coming back and now a proven NCAA and NFL coach calling the shots, I would say they are at least a B1G contender.

Rudock is primarily a victim of our lack of overall talent on the offensive side of the ball. Given some upgraded weapons I suspect he will do well. His experience is the value he will bring to MI. Harbaugh is no dummy he knows what Rudock can do and he is interested in his stock especially in a transition year where the system is new to all MI players........limiting mistakes is a big part of the winning equation.

Sounds like he will end up at Michigan. He was not a fit for the Greg Davis offense. It either made him think too much, or we just didn't have the receivers to run it right. He showed some great flashes, so he could have some success at Michigan. I still question is arm strength. I can't wish him good luck because he is going to another BIG school. He's a good kid, but I hope he sucks because I don't like Michigan.

Funny, that line keeps coming up yearly. Who the hell does fit that offense? A mix of pro-style formation-wise, and trying to incorporate a no huddle spread along with the option routes. The thing is a train wreck.

For every "cj didn't win the job" argument there is a he didnt lose it one after Purdue. This whole situation reeks to me that Jake was being coddled. Was given every chance to nail the job down and couldn't. Fans were restless. Cj became restless and makes the quotes before the bowl game. Whether or not it worked, we know the result...now the second Jake is put in Cjs shoes he's leaving. It's just fishy...

Everyone who wanted CJB and was so completely sure he is better than Rudock finally got what they wanted. Time to put up or shut up.
