Rebuilding in year 7

Cook is top 100, Garza and Nunge are high ranked too. That's 3 pretty good out of state recruits in the last 2 classes. Add in the in state recruits and his recruiting looks good enough to compete for titles. Who knows about the other aspects of his coaching right now. I know last year Ohio State was in our position as far as young roster and they looked about just as bad as wee do. Having two upperclassmen is extremely abnormal.

You can't compete for BIG titles without good PG play. Not sure how many times I have to tell you guys.
And a bunch of fringe top 100 guys won't get it done even with a legit PG. Too many programs in this conference that brings in too much talent.

If JB keeps shooting like this from 3, he will be good enough to compete for Big titles. Actually shooting guard will be our biggest weakness for the next couple years.

Gesell was below avg but Sapp helped take a lot of the pressure off. We essentially had 2 PGs on the floor. If either one of the were above avg, we might have won a BIG title.
There is no guard on the roster that's capable of leading a team to a BIG title and I don't see one on the list of future commits.

I agree with this. But all the other pieces will be in place if we do get that one really good guard or someone like Moss improves a bunch. Maybe when Weiscamp is a sophomore we will have the team to win.

Fran has no idea how stinking bad we will be this year....are some of you blind? Iowa will not win 10 games....ISU will throttle our D with guards, and UNI will do the same....if you cannot play defense you have no reason playing D1....defense wins games....period, and we do not have anything that resembles a defense

We'll see. He hasn't been able to do it since he signed Gesell. That's 5 years worth of failure to recruit the type of guard you are discussing. You make it sound easy. History says it's not likely.

It's not easy. But it's still possible Moss or Dailey can still be that guy.
