A handful of men at Penn State over the past decade...those holding the highest seats of power...made astonishingly inhumane decisions all in the name of their football team. For those few, yes, apparently no sacrafice was too big. Even that of childhood innocence at the hands of a predator. I think your choice of the word "depravity" is apt.

For most associated with the unversity, even those with positions of authority, I dare to hope and believe their humanity would not allow such things to continue if they had known. I believe that's a fair and true statement. Something this atrocious makes it easy to let our emotions paint in broad strokes. But to the many, many GOOD people at PSU, it's absolutely not fair.

I think people are massively over estimating these sanctions.
In 3, 4 years PSU is gonna have starting spots to "sell" to recruits, who will know they're gonna get bowl games,etc. I just don't think this has any lasting affect. Short term stuff Spank.

Trey, I dont see how a depleted team with less depth and no huge talent (kept at bay the first 3 years of sanctions), is going to sell across the board (there will be some, but mid talents nonetheless, and w/o depth), the possibility from going 4-8 one year to titles and bowl games in 2 or 3 years. This being in the 3rd, 4th and 5th years out. Short term stuff, but still possibly causing havoc over a half decade later.
