PrimeTime League

I think it's just as likely he would get less shots a game running off screens as it is he would get more.

I see JBo with the potential to be an even better Steve Alford. Alford also played some pg, but he was the best shooter in the nation and Knight took full advantage of that. We can agree to disagree, also. Imagine having Cook, Moss and Garza/Baer/Nunge/Pemsl on the floor and the defense trying to double-team JBo to prevent him from coming clean off a screen? Someone would be wide open.

Alford was a two time first team All American

I love how everyone wants to replace the All B1G freshman PG ... Hilarious. Fran's teams have lacked a true PG and a 5? Jesus Christ you guys can't MAKE shit SH*T up. We just had a run with 2 pretty good PG's and centers and we also had Olaseni. You all are dip sh*ts.

seriously - you can't MAKE some of this kind of stuff up - all of you - big round of applause for being some of the dumbest humans planet earth has to offer.

Was Alford an All B1G freshman? Just curious?

He averaged 15.5 ppg and shot 59% from the field as a freshman so I would assume so. For anyone that thinks Bohannon has the potential to be a two time first team All American I guess I don't know what to say but just laugh. Alford was so good in college, he averaged 22 ppg his junior and senior year and shot 53% from 3 as a senior

Don't worry, your post says plenty. Excellent post.

I don't disagree with anything you said about SA, but I do disagree with your constant discredit of last years ALL B1G freshman PG

Nick Ward wasn't All B1G freshman and Jordan was. That's all I need to know about what I think of the team. I think Jordan is very close to his ceiling because of what he lacks in size and athletic ability. There's a reason Fran went after so many point guards before he even offered him

At his ceiling after 30 some games of basketball, that's cute. You're ridiculous. Nick Ward would have got the honor if he was good enough, he wasn't.

Ward all honorable mention all conference but didn't make first team All B1G. I still don't understand how that works.

"Jbo not being a good PG" guy is the exact same guy as "Kirk Ferentz hasn't had any success" guy. SAME GUYS

I could see the PTL going away in the near future. The quality of play seems to deteriorate more each year and now they're having trouble finding enough players.

The first summer I covered it in 1998, guys like Lohaus, Earl and other ex-Hawkeyes were in it. That's not the case much anymore with the exceptions of Matt Gatens, who played off and on when he was back from Europe. He's probably done now that he's coaching. I remember Reggie Evans coming back and playing the year after he finished at Iowa.
It doesn't seem like it has the same cache that it used to, but it does bring in the freshmen early, and they can start to play with their teammates in an organized game setting, and it keeps the team together for the summer, so it does seem to have some value going forward. Maybe other ways to do that, but the PTL does offer that.

If Bohannon's ceiling is what he was doing at the end of the year on offense and getting a little better on defense. That's a pretty fricking high ceiling. 20 and 10 sounds good to me.
