Postgame Comments

I can only remember Fran receiving 1 technical foul this year...it just so happened to be immediately after his son got a technical foul. Is that Fran standing up for his players or his son?

Well they are one in the same, so both. Especially since the after game comments about backing them up came from non-son players, I would say that players view Fran in a pretty good light. Other recruits have also been on record saying that Fran's so called "outbursts" weren't a turn off to the program, but that they saw it as backing up his guys.

Why do you think Fran was upset? Because he thought his players were getting shafted by the refs. He didn't call him a cheater or disgrace for nothing? He was obviously mad about something. I don't think Tyler Cook, Peter Jok, etc. would tweet or say things like "That's why we like him as a coach, he sticks up for his players and we know he always has our back no matter what." if he wasn't sticking up for someone.

The Dolph situation can't be talked about by Fran because Barta hasn't said anything about it. Why would Fran talk about something that has nothing to do with him? Anything regarding him being apart of the dolph situation is just speculation at this point. Gary Barta needs to be the first and only person speaking on the Dolph Situation.
Who only knows the dirt coaches have on each other and on officials. It has to exist. There's a reason they are not allowed to publicly comment on officiating. And there's a general unwritten rule in the coaching fraternity concerning ratting on each other. Which is why Bruce Pearl and Digger Phelps earned the enmity of Lou Henson and Illinois years ago.

I have no doubt that Steve McJudkins and Fran are not even fake friends on the street, as Izzo is so good at doing it seems. That guy has been a poor referee in the B10 and his stay should be long over by now.

I dont disagree with you on the point as a whole. Fran's players seem to love him, past and present. But from the outside looking in...as xavier foster and his family currently are...they see this Dolph "racism" stuff, and they see this Fran "cheater" outburst stuff....and it doesn't look good

So you're trying to tell me a potential player for Fran doesn't look at current or past players saying they love Fran and always has there back and that potential player would decide, "nah I'm good because he literally stood up for his guys"? If you follow Foster's dad on twitter, he's actually more upset with the people defending Dolph, not to mention prospects meet the AD, but don't have much of a relationship with them unless they know each other personally outside of sports.

They are more on the inside seeing the good things than you think. They aren't on the outside looking in, never getting to talk to coaches, players, or ex-players.

Calling for last second long range shots was indeed a stroke of genius on Fran’s part because they are so difficult to defend.
He outcoached Beilein clear back to Ann Arbor. Tim Miles too. And Holtman the first time around. Archie Miller both times.

Dolph gone for the rest of the season for a light hearted "king kong". Fran angrily screams you cheating MF'er at officials in the back hallway after the game is over, apparently aggressively enough that one official asked for a security escort from the arena... 2 games.

The word "disproportionate" comes to mind.

We are on here speculating. Foster’s parents can give Fran a call and talk to him about it. They can talk to current players and their parents or past players and their parents. They aren’t on the outside looking in.

Nothing's deadlier than unconscious bias

He's got offers from Kansas, UCLA and Iowa State with Duke and Wisconsin giving him looks as well. At this point I'd think Iowa needs help and any negativity is going to be used against Iowa by the other schools.

I've actually heard that recruits dislike negative recruiting most. They want to know what you have to offer, not what other programs don't have to offer. So I feel pretty positive in saying that that would turn Foster away.
