Past NBA stars in today's game.

Jordan would own any era and its not even close....thats the difference betweem a lebron (or random other superstar besides drose) and jordan....jordan never would have left to team up with a dwade....he wanted to be the best on the own....Drose is actually kind of that way, lebron got mad bc Drose wouldnt even call him. I watched lebron, he will take quarters off.
 
I thought I'd accidentally stumbled into the Rivalry Forum because the stupid is turned up to 11 in this thread.

Kobe is SOO much closer to MJ than Lebron will ever be.

What are you basing this on? As far as stats go lebron is superior to kobe. He is a better rebounder, passer, scorer. If I here you say intangibles or the way he carries himself I'm gonna throw up. Lebron>Kobe

Make a list of the best small forwards to play the game and compare their numbers. Bird's compare favorably. Bird would be just fine with the "speed" of today's game. Bird averaged 24.3 PPG/6.3 APG/10.0 RPG for his career. For comparison, Lebron averages 27.7/7.0/7.1.

The game today is more of a half court game, generally speaking, especially in the East than it was in the 80's.

This is also true. The OP acts like todays game is more up and down. It's not. Back in the 80's every single team averaged 100+ ppg. This year might see no one average 100.

Lebron is TOTALLY different than MJ - not saying Kobe is better than Lebron - Kobe is much closer to the player MJ was however.

This. Bird was slow for his own time and still won. His feet were slow, but his mind was two steps ahead of everyone else on the court.

I don't see the speed of the game being an issue for Legend, particularly in a more half-court setting. He would win today, just as he did in the 80s.
