Oh so Classic Clown....

Even if it was a "fluke", which it wasn't, it was better than any season Iowa State has ever had so it doesn't say much for your program. Heck in 2004 you were handed the B12 north crown with a chance to play in the B12 championship game and you crapped the bed against a bad Missouri team on your home field. If that wasn't bad enough you turned around and crapped the bed again the very next season in the very last game. You guys can't even finish your "fluke" seasons.
I never said we could, you did. And trust me, I know way more about Iowa State football failures than you could possibly imagine, so your little flashback is nothing new. The stars aligned for you guys to have that 12-0 start, you never did it before, and I really doubt you ever will again. And sure it was better than any season we ever had, but if I really cared about rooting for a winning program, I wouldn't root for either Iowa or Iowa State.

Yes. The Hawks give Nebraska a no respect beat down. For the third year in a row. And 4 out of the last 5 years.
This being the same Nebraska who spanked that clown butt on a annual basis. And then the clowns trip over their big floppy feet in Kansas.

Just makes me giggle.
Go Hawks!
I'm glad we could make your day that much better, sounds like you really need it. But I'm not worried, you guys step on your dick enough to give me some laughs too. Won't have to wait too long anyway.

if you even think comparing the two situations is even remotely similar, you guys are smoking something that is making you mentally retarded.
All arguments aside, I actually like Campbell as a coach, and predicted last season on TOS that he would turn the program around. Everyone thought I was crazy at the time. That said, he messed up yesterday and needs to learn from it. He'll do fine down the road, but I'll be interested to see how he does with the team next season after losing all those seniors. The question is whether or not ISU can keep him. My guess is he's gone after three seasons at most.

As for comparing our two programs, coming on here and criticizing Ferentz is like preaching to the choir. I'm generally a supporter, but am more than willing to criticize his staff at times, while many fans on here wouldn't pick him up if he was hitchhiking in a blizzard.

You don't go through either the B12 or the B10 (any Power 5 conference) undefeated and it be a fluke. Both of our toughest games were on the road (NW & Wisc) and we were within an inch of winning the B10 Championship game.

I don't get the point of all this, was your goal just to come here to make us feel like crap over something that happened 2 years ago?

Just as classic as, Purdue, NW, Mich St, and not showing up for Wisconsin? You mean that classic clown? We are just so GD good aren't we?.... I despise the red and gold bastard's but until we quit losing to shit teams ourselves I'm not saying crap about them!

Central and Western Mich, UNI almost in 2009, etc etc all say HI. It is just that ISU historically losses to UNI and lower teams way, way more which puts ISU down at their level not like Iowa playing down to a lower teams level.

He will stick around for awhile, if Tennessee thought the buyout was too much, that is a good sign. They are about as desperate as Nebraska now. Besides, he has 5 or 6 winning seasons in a row here, we will probably name the stadium after him. He does that at Nebraska, if they aren't 9 win seasons, he is toast. I think he knows that. Besides, Ames is a great place to raise a family.

And as far as next year goes, we have enough key players coming back to stay competitive, plus, he, unlike Rhoads, figured out what kind of player it takes to compete in the big 12. As long as his recruiting classes are around the 40 range, the next couple of years will be talent upgrades for sure.

I really never understood or understand someone like IAST8GR8 who sounds like only an ISU fanatic would sign up on another teams message board to start posting a bunch of argumentative stuff. I can maybe see going to another teams boards to read stuff, which I dont do unless I follow a posted link but hardly ever, but not to post repeatedly. ISU had a great year for them and beat two ranked teams. Most years like this ISU would have lost to OU and TCU and maybe beat KSt and another team to still finish at 7-5. But most years ISU would be 4 wins or worse.

I hope ISU gets better. I personally feel the ISU -Iowa series is stale and boring (which most of the nation thinks also) and would rather watch Iowa play home and home series with Ark, Mizzou, NCarolina, and some other ACC teams like Pitt, BC, etc. Variety is better. Iowa has all the rivalries it needs from its history with Wisky, Minny, MSU, and the likes of Illinois etc.

People like me do it because it gets stale talking to the same fans day in and day out. I don't like Iowa, but I am surrounded by them, so a little healthy banter keeps me updated with iowa too.

I'm not necessarily referring to Nebraska. I don't think most coaches would want to be put in a position of working under that umbrella of crazy unrealistic expectations, but, that doesn't mean other programs won't come calling. My prediction is that the first time he hits 9 wins, he will be gone within two seasons.

Oh, and you forgot the water. Ames has amazing water...

I know other programs will, but there have been rumors from some people in the know that if he does hit 9 wins soon, they will seriously up the ante, I've heard 4 mil a year. That is how desperate we are for a winner.

Why complain, it is what it is, and who is comparing the two? Re-read my post. And as far as none of you being happy, that is true, but the fact is, 7-5 really is about it for you, the schedule plays out in your favor you hit ten wins, super. That 12-0 start you had a couple years back was a fluke, everyone knew it but you, you just hit the jackpot. You did have 20 straight losing seasons, something even lowly us never did, and it could happen again, and hopefully will. Maybe with Brian at the helm.
Iowa did not have 20 straight losing seasons.

Little bro? You guys are funny. We are a shitty team that thinks we are average, you are an average team that thinks you are elite. We might make it to average someday, but you will never make it to elite. You are one bad coaching hire away from being Nebraska, and you don't have the national championships or long history to soak up your tears. So enjoy Ferentz, wether it's Brian or Kirk, and lap up those 7-5 seasons.

LOL, who on here says Iowa is elite?

Iowa 7 win season is disappointing. ISU 7 win season is elite for ISU.

Campbell won't be at ISU after next year. If he is, it is because he went all Paul Rhoads and showed that his 1 7 win season was a fluke.

I know you want that to happen, I know you are probably praying for it to happen, so when it doesn't, remember your family and don't off yourself.
