Many are, even an "apologist" like me at times. But I'm not exactly sure what that means.

i'm done expecting he will consistently field championship teams. i'm done expecting him to figure out ways to win games, instead of blindly walking off a cliff "doing what we do". i'm done convincing myself to be enthusiastic for a kirk ferentz coached team. he's an avg coach. that's what i mean by that.

That's fair.

do you get annoyed when non-hawkeye fans tell you not to take KF for granted? Well that is what you are going to get this week. Those inherent disadvantages will be shoved down your throat.

yeah, yeah....don't risk anything. don't reach for the stars. accept your station. blah, blah. i'm ready for that. ;)

says it all really.

No. I expect the same.

Maybe we're both crazy.

Team is Jekyll and Hyde...maybe we are too.

Purdue and nebraska are soooo bad. i expect Iowa to win those. people that know more than me have convinced me that this is part of a process. I expect '18 and '19 to be better.

Any team that blitzes and has speed will make us look bad. We just do not spread field and change game plan to adjust. Very hard to watch this team when they have the ball.

Well guys...last week was fun. But let's be real...we're going on the road against a good team. So Armadillo ball is once again our game plan. Play scared. It's often said that a team reflects its coach's personality. Today was a prime example.

Let's be honest, Wisconsin is good...and they wanted this one. But J..F..C.. falling back into the same predictable tendencies to start the game was beyond WTF. It played right into their hands.

Well, Iowa will finish 6-6, make a toilet bowl, and probably get blown out by someone like Bowling Green. This coaching staff is laughably bad. The players looked scared out there. I don't know where the team from last week went. The team we saw out there today wouldn't have beaten Dowling. I'm pretty much done with Ferentz. I'm certainly not going to watch this terrible team the rest of the season.

But KF gets 100% of the credit for last week, doesn't he you megamoron.
Megamoron? Kindergarten not to name calling yet? Did you watch the game? So we were the physically superior team? Last week OUR PLAYERS executed. This week they got smacked in the mouth. ALL areas suffered today including the coaching but they were the better more physical team. Did you watch? Suggest a coaching strategy for me that overcomes them blowing us off the ball every play. Suggest a strategy that helps with our o line getting whipped every play or our receivers dropping so many passes today. Nothing? Oh yea, i see. Megamoron? Keep talking.

That's what we were told about Ohio State's lines before the game....
Well "being told" doesnt mean squat. Have you played football. As with many here, ive played and coached. On some level, a one on one battle, one of the two players across from each other knows who is superior pretty quickly in the game. We played like we knew they were superior. You can see it in our play. We were beat in the first quarter, just took the scoreboard a while to reflect it.

Ill make the same post ive made every week so far....this team was predicted to be between 5-7 to 7-5 by MOST. The rollercoaster ride that comes with a young team in a strong big ten conference against a VERY tough (6th toughest in the cointry and probably moving up) was anticipated. Anyone butthurt about this loss needs to get perspective and realize 6-6 to 8-4 is still possible. 8-4 this season is a HUGE accomplishment.

Yeah, I did I got sucked into believing that this is a process.

Tell me about it. After eighteen years we should be past the process thinking. At this point it should be reload thinking and unloading on apponents......... kinda like Wisconsin does. I guess Hayden had a lot of good apples fall from his coaching tree and Alverez has passed that onto Hayden’s grand children coaches.
