***Official "I Wish Alford Was Still Playing So We Could Kick His Red and White Striped Pants Wearing Ass" Game Thread***

I can’t help but wonder if Jbo is sick or hampered in some way. Just looks off.

Every player has an off game and he will bounce back a play a big role. That’s where it’s the coaches responsibility to see this a get the player out. JoeT should have been in the game the last ten minutes of the game.

That was Fran’s fault. Just one of those games for Jbo. He is too good on offense not to bounce back.
It was a group effort.

Wieskamp passed up shots.

Murray was sideways.

Garza was bodied.

Indiana was dug in, rotating, helping, denying, playing to the absolute limit of what the refs would allow.

It reminded me of a home loss we suffered to Purdue in our legendary 1987 season where Keady's bunch had near flawless execution of both ends of the floor.

Jordan was 0-17 from the floor

Hawks were 5-23.....21.7 % from three point land

We won the rebound battle: 46-32

Lot of time to practice before the Illinois game

Have to find a way to stop them inside

Indiana scored at will around the basket

Wide open several times

Gotta be pretty perfect to win the Big 10 after giving away a game up 7 with 40 seconds left. Losing to a bad team at home is pretty far from perfect.

One of those games that nothing goes right. Pretty good effort- good D generally. Indiana shot well.
Some losses are terrible. This is not one of them.

Sucks bad to have to wait 8 days for the next game after that shit.

Iowa going out after the round of 32. Lose to average teams.
Shut up, troll
Why do people keep saying this is a dumb take. After round of 32 would be sweet 16. You expect the best or hottest 16 teams to be there, and Iowa has already lost to two teams that don't fit either of those descriptions, with one being at home. Don't think it's a bad take when the team relies on all offense and not good enough D to win on bad shooting nights.....and not good enough D to win when other team is stroking it either (see Minny).

He averages 4.4 assists a game . That doesn’t lead the team
Thats more indicative of how good we are as a team at passing.

Former players like Bardo, Hummel and Settles pointed out how out of sync we look at Rutgers when he missed most of the game.

By the way, how big does that win look now?

Rutgers was ranked #11 at the time and have been in freefall. Would have been terrible to give a stroke back to the field by losing that game.
