I think every single last circumstance of the game favored the Clones. From Gameday being there, to the fans having all day to drink and get primed up for the game, to the weather delay (spending 6 hours in a visiting locker room is much tougher than a home locker room). Also add in the fact Iowa was down to it's 4th string CB and it's walk on safety. The fact Iowa overcame all that is impressive. They play that game on a neutral field and Iowa has all it's starters back and they win by 10 or more.
No need to do any post game analysis from your perspective. Living Well!

It occurs to me that my posting style is definitely Ferentzian.

Not flashy, not fast, but steady / fundamentally sound / dependable.

Gotta work on my speed...
Not blazing fast but still might get a D1 offer or two, maybe get in a good developmental program.

I know this is the internet and nobody knows each other, but I always think of @tksirius and @Fryowa are like stepbrothers... You know sometimes they put their sack on the others drum set, but sometimes they become best friends and build bunk beds so they have room for activities!
seems like i recall a couple of posters at each other's throats all the time, met face-to-face to pay/collect a bet, and then they both came on here slobbering all over each other about how human and down-to-earth and sexy each other was and ....

three days later it was like Sherman burning a swath through the South. Sherman only did it once.

Please dont confuse football fans who love their team and love to watch football but who critique their coaches for bad decisions, certain play calls, or poor clock management as being Haters.

I think KF has done pretty well since the 2012 problems. A strong 2013, decent 2014 with two losses to ISU and Nebby that probably should have made that team look better, and then the qb change and a wonderful 2015 season. 2016 and on has been pretty good but seen some tough losses they maybe shouldnt have had but also some great wins.

That still doesnt mean I cant call out KF and any other coaches who dont know when to start a game with a 35 mph wind at your back and put your defense on the field first, or when they totally blow up the time management, or dont go for two points in order to get the deficit down to 8 points with 1:30 seconds left in the game. You know the kind of stuff even youth football coaches know how to do.

You forgot to mention winning the big games when the division title is on the line. I hope that not what people call haters.

I say that as I watch Wisconsin destroy Michigan. Yes it makes me giggle to see Michigan get creamed but at the same time I have to ask why can’t Kirk put together teams like that. Freaking Wisconsin.............geesh!

Yes, it is interesting that Wisky has gone with the behemoth Off linemen since Alvarez went there and maybe because they grow those guys on trees in the state. Anyway when they have the really good and healthy offensive line they can pile drive opponents who give up about 40 pounds per man. And also Wisky gets some great running backs.

Melvin Gordon changing his mind is about when the series with Iowa changed, hate to say it. But who is to say the Gordon might have sat on the bench for 2 years and redshirted a year under Ferentz.

Will Iowa ever go with bigger linemen? We have two big tackles but usually with outside zone blocking and other techniques the hawks go with linemen about 300-310 max.
