New Commit: John Wisnieski

What a great get for the Hawks. Damn they've had an unbelievable haul on TEs in the last several years.

Whats Ferentz's record against ISU, a team that has WAY less talent right?

The thing is about ISU fans... they're truly a great group of good natured people, except for a few outspoken idiots like you Sewer.

Guys like you, some of the ISU fans like you, always trash Iowa, win lose or draw. It's become an essential piece of the recipe for your fan experience. It's rather pathetic and it is a side effect of a larger ailment called the little brother syndrome.

ISU fans like yourself always come back to the same handful of statistics (seriously your different go-to bits of evidence can be counted on about 3 fingers). One of them is McCarney's success against the hawks. Another (another way of putting it) is Ferentz''s lack of success vs ISU. Yeah it's true. BUT WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU BRING IT UP?

It's like a school age child that is terrible at reading, writing, spelling, science, math, history, art, music...but is really pretty good at geography. He would be a fool to talk trash to everyone about how much better at geography he is, or how much smarter he is than everybody else. That argument is not going to end well for him.

What's ISU's all time football record, wise guy?
What's ISU's all time record against Iowa?
What's ISU's all time bowl record?

I don't feel like looking up the answers to embarrass you, except for the last question. The answer is 3 bowl wins all time. The same number that Stanzi had as a starter

Iowa is taking an interesting approach to recruiting basically giving recruits an option of committing by a certain date or they will move on. It will either turn into a great tactic or blow up in their face when the verbal commits realize they really did not get to see other schools and feel as though they were pressured when they really werent ready to commit. Some will likely be taking official visits this fall to other schools even though they already committed. Plus where will recruits stand if Iowa wins 5 or fewer games? Good job out of Iowa but its a lllloooonnnngggg time to February. I put the over-under on decommits by February at 3.

This is because Iowa is running out of spots and have more guys interested then what they can sign. Also, there is not much chance Iowa wins less than 5 games. That hasn't happened in a long time. Lastly, about the decommits comment, no. just no.

@HawkeyeInsider
#Iowa told Wisnieski's coach Tom Wilson it had 4 schollies left for '13 class. Now, with 16 known verbals, there are 3. #Hawkeyes
So can this guy be put on Academic scholarships in order to save a football scholarship for another player?

Great get, 4 star and 8th rated tightend on ESPN. Iowa is just a better program than Iowa St. Nothing has changed or will change in that regard.

Wisnieski is on record saying he won't flip-flop and I believe him. Are you saying we'll get one of the other ten Iowa commits w/ ISU offers to flip? We won't. We're getting killed by Iowa right now and we shouldn't be. It's that ****ing simple.

How do you figure you shouldn't be?

Honestly for the amount of guys Iowa puts in the NFL Iowa should be doing better than they actually are, and it shouldn't even be close with a team that usually wins 6 games at best and rarely sends anyone to the NFL.

You had a losing record last year its not as if some great accomplishment was recently achieved that would change things.

Iowa has better coaches, more NFL players, better talent but will again finish 7-5 or below and will have a good chance of again getting beat by ISU? Ok you keep the NFL talent we will keep the better gameday coach and keep beating you.

ISU hasn't scored a TD in like 5 out of the last 6 games.

Its not at all like you have been doing well against Iowa.

Last year was a good win for ISU but it was outside the norm for this game.

Your not going to "keep beating" Iowa, your going to keep losing 4 out of every 5 years.

Its not the same thing? You get an offer late from your favorite school when said school knows you and your family are diehards? No butt hurt in either instance occurs? Right.

Ohio State seems to pull 1 or 2 of these every year.

You're right, your bottom rung program beats us all the time in Kinnick Stadium.

Iowa has a rule that kids cant visit other schools after committing? That didnt work for Jaleel last year so good one. If people dont think these kids will continue visiting other schools Iowa fans are more ignorant than I thought.
And yet Jaleel is currently training in Iowa City to beat the clownz *****.

Let me know when you can even come close to landing any big time recruit such as Jaleel with any offer other than Wake Forest.....
