Nebby just fired their AD

It's only fitting...They fire coaches that were winning, but not winning championships. Now they can't seem to find a hire that equates to what they let go. At this point maybe they should really look at what the current state of athletics is at Nebby and try to forget who they once were a long long time ago.

Those releases are typically always going to say that....unless it's something public like Baylor or Penn State. My understanding is that there was alcohol issues that played a large part in his dismissal...which also cropped up at Ohio U.....

I actually think Solich was fired for his record. They would have overlooked literally anything else if he were winning more games. The year before he went 7-5 (I think?) so that sealed his fate unless he made it to a major bowl. The other rumors might just be window dressing.

I agree 100%. It's ironic that coaches get alcohol problems when they're having anything other than stellar seasons and meeting the expectations of the fans, university, and media. I guess coaches only drink or make poor decisions when they aren't having amazing seasons.

Pretty telling that the President and Chancellor said at the presser that they would like to get back to what they had in the mid '90's. We knew much of the fanbase was delusional, but it seems even the high salary bigwigs don't realize the landscape has completely changed, either.
